As usual, UK's premier car programme reviews the 300C SRT8....and basically says it's crap...and compares it to the M5...in a race....and the M5 wins by a mile.

And yes, I am from the UK...and I have a GC SRT8. I love driving it. Problem with Top Gear is the are too perfectionist.

Let's face it, 500BHP M5 with superb handling is going to be faster than a 300C SRT with 425BHP (the M5 is lighter as well i think).

Hmmm, have those wankers done a similar test between the Jeep SRT8 and the Supercharged Range Rover with its 4.2 litre 396 bhp V8? Europe versus North America indeed.

Im really starting to hate this guy. He tested an 05 Mustang GT to a Lotus Exige on the track. He laughed that the Mustang lost to it...Give me a break...

The problem is that Jeremy Clarkson is like Michael Moore of the automotive world.

I'm not gonna knock the M5, it's an awesome car. But come on, they are comparing a $100K car vs $50K car. Overall, we know which is has the better bang for the buck.

Amen. Since when does anyone do a compareo on items that are so disparaged in price? For his next writ, maybe a shootout between a 1L Superbike and a equal sized engine mini car.

I love top gear and their reviews but he is right, I own a GC srt8 and i love but the thing i hate is the suspension and the interior it laks many things and it really has a big price well i guess here in mexico its 60k. I also own a limited edition range rover supercharged and is way slower than the GC but it is way more smoother and has tons of technology compared to the GC.

The supercharged Rover is awesome too, but once again it is a lot more frickin $$$. And you know what, there's a ton of 'em on the roads here in Los Angeles. I've only seen 2 Grand Cherokees driving around.....EVER.
