So I love the looks of that billet shift knob many of you have.

When I looked at it on ebay, I noted that the thing weighs 3/4 of a pound. Coming from performance oriented manual cars, I always stayed away from weighted shift knobs because of the wear that they can create on a manual tranny's inputs and linkages. (They create the same impact as driving a MT always resting your hand on the shifter...)

So should I have any of the same concerns with an automatic?

well, being that our SRT8's have the Benz tranny's in them unlike the normal GC's, we really don't need to worry about it as they are made to be torn a new @ss hole. :)
