I would like to know if there is a way to program these cars, like via a laptop, not a Starscan? I want the remote start to do the pit stop feature like I have had on many aftermarket remote starts I have had in the past. Something like hit the start button on the remote 2 times then you can pull the key and get out leaving it running so you can run back in the house to get something you forgot etc.. And so that you can unlock the car and load it up without it shutting down by itself in 1 minute. Also very annoying. I am shocked that things like this are not adjustable on a 45000 dollar car. I had remote starts that I bought and put in myself for 100 bucks that did this.
Anyone know if this can be changed?
Thanks

Definitely a good point. Had that feature on 791XVwRS. Good feature. Adjustable auto off time should be a must.

How about the heated seats?
Does anyone know how to get them to stay on so when you start the next morning they will be on? Pretty pointless to have the feature and get into a 10 degree seat!

If I had a darned gcsrt8 I could figure that out I think pretty easily

Leaving heated seats on all night is asking for a fire hazard or a drained battery. As far as being pointless, I think you're being a little picky seeing as how it only takes a few minutes for the seats to heat up.

LOL... I think he meant that when he hits his remote start, the heated seat would come on also so his seats would be heated when he got in. Not for them to stay on all night.
But I agree with you, leave the climate control on auto, remote start it and let her run for up to 15 min and it should be somewhat comfortable on a cold morning. But hey, were in Texas...

The short answer is no. The long answer is why I know that the only answer is "no" to your questions. If you want a great remote start with a lot of features, you would have to go aftermarket.

Im just surprised we even got this feature.
Would be a great feature to have heated seats on in the morning(i noticed the back defrost goes on).. even idling 15mins(max time) in -20 degrees doesn't help warm the car enough. I usually have to let do it twice to warm up enough on those cold days. Its still not fun sitting on a frozen seat for 5mins.

there is a way for the seats, but it involves wiring. Basically a switch that you have to wire in that is a constant on or off switch. So when the car is running, the seats are heating. There are write up's on it if you search, I think on streetjeeps....
