Love the forum great info and great people, I've just ordered my Jeep GC SRT8 in Black of course, just wanted to let anyone thinking about getting a GC SRT8 to just do it, you won't be disappointed after driving it I just had to have it, it is just plain amazing. I was also considering Mercedes ML's, BMW X5's and Range Rover Sport. But this was just better. I also can't wait to show my two brother's as they have two Identical black 300C SRT8's. The only thing that annoys me is here in Australia the Jeep SRT8 costs about $90,000 Aus which converts to about $69650 US. That is with most of what you guys call stage one : Roof and Nav but no Rear DVD. So just wanted to let you guys in the US know how lucky you are :)

Wow is right! Makes you wonder how much an X5 or Q7 would be over in Germany....$30,000...;)

Congrats either way - its always nice to be unique. Only 160ish came to Canada in 2006, but at least price is almost a direct exchange. Then again, they are made right on the Canadian border.

Worse than that... isn't gas roughly $7 US per gallon in Australia right now? I have to say I love my Jeep but if I had to pay that much for gas ... I'd probably not own one of these.... :D

In the UK the SRT-8 cost £41,000 which is approx $79,000 (US)

Nitro Crzy. We pay about a $1 to $1.15 Australian dollars a litre for Gas, so basically for a gallon so you would be looking at between $3.70 to $4.40 Australian. So I suppose it would be pretty similar. But at the moment I have a 2005 HSV Coupe GTO with an LS2 (what you guys call a Pontiac GTO) and I figure the fuel consumption is going to be pretty similar between the two so Im not to worried.

Mark. The GC SRT8 down under does not have a leather dash although it does have leather door inserts and also our Nav system is different to what is used in the US, The Aussie Nav system Sucks :mad: Thanks for the good wishes on Australia day, it's a pretty good holiday everyone has a barbie and sits around drinking beer all day in the sun, makes for a wicked headache the next day though :D
