Is it a sticker type or badge type emblem?

99.9% of dealers today use the peel and stick kind. If has only been on a short while, any of the following will work.

Strong fingernail (insert behind) and peel it off.
Gently slide a credit card behind it and lift from one side.
Piece of fishing line or dental floss.

Any problem with any of the above not making it come loose, apply a bit of heat from hair dryer while doing any of above.

Probably won't be any glue residue left behind, but if so a little rubbing alcohol will clean it up or a bit of polish or wax. Do not use abrasive cleaner.

Your clear coat (paint) will be just fine.

bring it right to the dealer go right up to the person that sold you the truck and tell him unless you plan on paying half of my car payment to have me give you advertisement take off your dealer name off my truck. When i picked mine up i saw it on my truck gave the keys back to the salesperson and told him to take it off, along with the fake tags they put on the plate covers. they did it right then and there. Dnt let them tell you that its there poliy to keep it on or that they cant take it off. It is after all your truck. Remember they work for you, and dont let them forget it. Worked for me

You can also try WD-40 for any glue left behind.

Quicker and easier to remove it yourself, IMO.

Absolutely WD-40!! I had the dealer badge. Removed with credit card underneath to get started and left a whole strip of adhesive tape. WD-40 (credit to ge2 for suggestion) took it off like a charm and leaves the paint shiny and new. :D :D

Wish I would have known about the wd 40. I still got sticker outline on my 04' 4.7HO, almost four years later.

i went to the store and got that goo off stuff or whatever its called...they said it would work. should i rip the emblem off from the edge and then put it on the glue that's left, or should i apply it to the glue with the emblem still on?

If you want to remove most of the adhesive with the badge, heat up the badge with a heat gun or blowdryer. Then use a cc or floss and the badge should lift right off, removing most of the adhesive. You can then use WD40 or goo off to clean up the bit that remains.

I plan on taking them all off. Those who know will know.

Those who don't, never will anyway. ;)
