Well I'll be a new member of the OC in a couple of hours. Are there any things I should be aware of when picking up the vehicle? Here is what I know to look for/ask when at the dealer:

-Make sure the foot pedal box is in the car.
-Make sure the head phone box is in the car.
-Ask the dealer to enable the parking assist mirrors.

You won't be able to activate the park assist mirrors on a 2007, so don't worry about that one. Someone had a clever idea to use memory program #2 to position the mirrrrs so that you can press that to reposition during reversing and then hit #1 to get them back again.

Check for your SRT polished aluminum door sills on the driver and passenger side. If they are missing, ask them to order part number on my signature. You may have to pay 80-100 for them, as it seems Chrysler has taken them off for cost cutting.

Check paint for blems, and all feay=tures and controls. If something is missing or broke, get it in writing. Don't get anything the F&I manager pushes. If you go with the extended warranty, remember that the price is not set in concrete and is negotiable. Good luck. You may also want to take the truck for a spin before you sign for it.

Make sure the owner's manual specifically states SRT8 GC... not just the standard GC.

In addition.....
1) Check lower front fascia for scrapes. My had slight damage at purchase which the dealer still owes me for. They are willing to fix. The scheduling of it is on me.
2) Check to ensure the exhaust tips are straight (one not higher than the other)
3) Check for wheel locks (if equipped)
4) Check for proper owners manual (must say SRT8 on it) - EDIT: OOps someone posted this one while I was typing.
5) Check for headlight covers (I think they are deleted on 07's but ask dealer to order just like the SRT8 door sills). Must open hood to check for this.
6) I suggest you wait to buy extended warranty

Headlight covers?

There are supposed to be two covers over the headlights in the engine bay. Mine were missing on both SRT-8's so my salesman walked over to a couple Laredo's sitting on the lot and popped the hoods. Behold, two pairs were mine! =P

If you open the hood, some of the earlier model 06's have plastic covers on the top of the headlights. The covers need to be removed to change the bulbs for the headlights, turn signals, etc. Apparently they were discontinued about mid-production of the 06 model year as a cost saving.

In the late 07 run, rear seats, visor vanity mirrors and 3 speakers will be discontinued as a cost cutting move. Less weight, equal more speed! Also, in the 08 run, expect the sides of the front windshield molding to go the way of the top piece. A cleaner look, and thats what the customers want.
