I started to get the shimmy at 70-80 MPH so decided to get all of them road balanced.

Upon doing the balance the tire guy pointed out that the front drivers side was just starting to split. With only 7K miles on these tires I was pretty upset but also kinda expected it.

After talking to the manager at Discount Tire he ended up giving me a new tire. Only problem was they did not have the tire in stock and would have to get it from Memphis, so it took a few days to get there. Got the new tire and everything is perfect (until another one starts to split)

Point of this thread was to let all of you know if it is shaking at the wheel at least do yourself a favor and get them road balanced. Just the road balancing made a big difference even with 1 tire starting to split.

As we know it is just a matter of time before someone not paying attention to the tire hits 100MPH and BOOM...These tires suck, I can't wait to get new tires but the "warranty" (I was told) can not be credited towards another brand.

Get your tires checked out and at least have them road balanced

assuming you are running the Badyears?...still tryin to get to the bottom of my shimmy issue, but am thinkin it is more of a driveshaft problem....will have to check my tread tho.

Yes the badyears...Honestly the only thing I think it could be is the tire make-up. No other tire is having the same issue

It's only like $15 I think and that might be your problem, check it out. make sure they use the Hunter machine and ask for someone that is VERY familiar with the machine
