: Going to San Antonio Raceway this week
YogiSRT8 01-13-2009, 02:27 PM Hey guys ill be heading to SAR this week. This is kinda late notice but it may be tomorrow, or it may be on friday. As of now my buddy and i will be racing. He has a 1971 Dodge Demon (Dart) and i will take the Jeep out for the first time. Not sure if anyone else will be joining us but should be fun regardless. If any of you are interested in meeting up or hanging out let me know. PM me an ill give you my phone number and more details.
RaceRat 01-13-2009, 03:27 PM I went last Wed and my first pass ever was against a silver 08 SRT8 Jeep from Austin. :)
I might be out Friday depending on whether I get a new tune for the Jeep.
Have fun and let me know what you run!
YogiSRT8 01-13-2009, 06:26 PM How were track conditions? What config did you have your jeep in? What did the silver one run and what did he have done?

Exhaust, CAI, Torque Converter and Tune
I didn't launch at all, just nailed the throttle from a stop. 13.2 @ 103 with a 1.9 60ft on all 3 passes.
I think I'm tuned for 91 octane and the shifts are real soft and mushy. My jeep came from Colorado so I'm sure the tune could use some tweaking.
Not sure if anything was done to the 08, he ran a 13.5 @101. He said he's run a best of 13.1.
YogiSRT8 01-13-2009, 06:36 PM What about T/C, on or off?
And did you use autostick (ie put it in 1) or did you leave it in drive.

TC was on 1st and last time (forgot), off 2nd time. No auto stick. I was racing my buddy in his new G8 GT and whoopin up on him!
Don't expect a lot. Racing these things when they're pretty much stock is boring as hell.
YogiSRT8 01-13-2009, 07:13 PM I was looking at the G8GT as well and was going to throw a maggie on it. I determined i already have a fast rwd that cant get traction why have two and went in a whole new direction with the Jeep. I know the jeep wont blow me away with its speed but it will be exciting since its different and the first time you know. Im sure i wont take it racing again after this time, not while its stock at least, haha.
YogiSRT8 01-14-2009, 08:47 AM What part of CO did you find your jeep. Did the seller give you a tuner?
Her thread in the other section said she picked it up in Kansas City, but i guess it came from CO orginally maybe
RaceRat 01-14-2009, 08:57 AM What part of CO did you find your jeep. Did the seller give you a tuner?
The original owner sent me the diablo. I'm not sure, near Denver I think.
I bought the Jeep in KC, but the original owner was from CO. (He traveled between the two places and traded it in in KC.) The dealership was cool and put me in touch him before I purchased the Jeep. Honestly, if I hadn't been able to talk to him I probably would have passed.
RaceRat 01-14-2009, 09:29 AM Cool, then you should have your stock tune in the Predator if you ever have to go to a dealership. You might want to call the owner and ask if he tweaked the current tune or not so you can put it back where it is if you want. 13.2 is not bad at all, but I am sure you would want to try and improve by trying different tunes. But if diff tunes slow you down, you are gonna want to get back where you are now. Did you pull the ABS fuse when you ran?
I did not pull the abs fuse. Haven't read about that trick yet.
I won't be taking the Jeep to the dealership so flashing back to stock isn't an issue. The owner is sending me the stock ecu though.
YogiSRT8 01-15-2009, 09:23 PM Ok went to the track, details in showoff section.
