Hey guys, I want to let you know about this Hooters Meet in Paramus NJ that the LX guys are planning.
Last year it was a blast and this year I'm sure it will be awesome as well.
Meech (the guy organizing this event) asked me to spread the word here as well, all jeeps are welcome to attend.

Its that time again! The Third Annual Frozen Knuckle Event to be held at Hooters in North Jersey! The Date is January 24th 2009 so keep that date open.

Where: It will either be at Paramus or Hackensack Hooters, venue to be announced. This is always a fun time and weather permitting we will go on as scheduled.

If we can get enough people as in the past, we will do cart racing then do Hooters afterwards!! Lets Make it a day to remember!!!!

I will negotiate a group price for the carting event, in addition there are tactical games for those that do not wish to do carting (whiplash).

Off topic...since most of you guys are from jersey, do you know of any good shops that do work on the cherokee srt8? (tuning, engine building, supercharger installation, etc)

Memphis why don't you just stop by you don't need the jeep to come hang with us! that way you can get an idea of all the different mods that can be done and to meet people before you have it? all kinds of cars are gonna be there just come by with the Cobalt .. everyone on this forum loves Horsepower and other types of cars ;)

Alright then i'll try to make it out...I'll try to bring the balt...but no promises on that because I believe I have some problems with the motor..(something breaks every other day)...but yeah my friend has a GCSRT8...as soon as I got a ride in the thing I fell in love with it. They are badass machines

What are the ups and downs of that setup. Never seen that before. I hope u come so I can check it out.

Well on my setup, no ups haha...I just did it because no one else was doing it. There's a company now that does it but doesn't ship out kits...If you buy it from them, they have to install it for you no matter what (which I guess is a good thing...but they are located in ohio I believe). Their dyno graph looks really good. No lag anywhere on 400 whp cobalts....but traction is a major issue. The reason why my car is messed up is because I tried tuning my car by myself and it didn't work out so much. I programmed too much fuel to dump in and decided to get on it one day....It died on me..Burnt out all my spark plugs...They were dripping in gas when I took them out. I believe a piston ring is shot as well since I do not have the right compression in that cylinder as well as gas goes into the oil every now and then. I have a knock in the motor now..valvetrain related I believe. I learned my lesson..Never doing anything myself ever again. I'm going to take my cars to a shop now haha. I guess you live and you learn. I don't know what i'm doing with it now. I still drive it how it is haha. I'm trying to decide whether to fix it or to just junk it...get rid of it quickly for like 4 grand or something.

It is on Cherry Street. It is close to the seaport. Take the FDR south all the way to exit 3 and get off at that exit and go straight down and stay to your right. You cannot miss it.

heres the dope on the V-17 Outting. NOT GOOD NEWS, Effers want too much money. They dont care about our group, to cart race its this:

OPTION I........AS A GROUP (no lines)
$74 dollars each for the day, plus $1000 for the track rental that day.

OPTION II.........As a singular participant (get on line and wait)

Day membership $10 or year membership $20, then $18/per race

I say screw it and lets just have a meet and greet, have some wings and ribs and watch the bountiful girls serve us...then do the photos of the cars and members!

yea its not bad at all they time you and stuff..if you go with a bunch of people you get the track to yourself and you race each other. I forgot how long each race was i think 25 minutes i could be wrong ill have to find out tomorrow when i go to school.

My dad bought it for me for my first car. then later got the jeep .. so now they are both mine, but i hardly drive it because of the SRT8 . so my dads gonna drive it up on Saturday though. he likes to whip around the 5 speed sometimes haa :rolleyes: other then that he has his 2007 Mega Cab 1500 Series Dodge Ram :p

Plus this is like 45 minutes from me, count me in, just gotta haul arse up from class in Philly haha, I'll leave at 8am be there be 10 easy, this is going to be sick!!! Hopefully some of you guys on the forum will let me ride with you for a test drive or maybe command one if you felt comfortable. I have been Jersey driver for 2 years without an accident and have driven my fathers '68 Vette with the 427, make like 500hp ish so I can definitely handle the power, only driven in one other so we'll see. COUNT ME IN!
