Is anyone going to Captree this sunday? For those who don't know of this place its located in Long Island, NY. Guys start showing up with there cars around 7:30am and start leaving around 11am. There is everything from exotics to just plain weird one-off cars. If your in the area a couple of forum guys and myself will be their around 8:30am. Hope to see some of you out there...

Guys in the 5 boro's,

On sunday morning a group of guys from this forum and others (mbworld, my350z, etc) meet up at a rest area off the southern state pkwy ( immediately after exit 13N) at 8am and drive over to Captree. If anyone would like to join us let me know.

man, I went about a month ago and it was nuts. The lamborhinis were lined up and a phantom was ruling the roost.

I saw another jeep there along with mine and a few lx srt s there as well.

Your more than welcomed in any car. The rest stop is right after exit 13N on the southern state...your further out east (new hyde park) so you will have to go west to meet up with us. If you want to do that let me know... the more the merrier:D .

Captree wasn't a big turnout like I thought. At the rest stop I saw a red gcsrt8 that drove through, my hood was up checking my CAI and I waved but he didn't stop. Was that you RonConcept??? However, the 2 others who usually go with me showed up 30 minutes late (2 nissan 350z's) and we drove out there. It was a great drive as usual, nothing beats stretching your legs on ocean pkwy! But when we got there it wasn't many cars. I believe it was a combination of it being very cold and the football game. But I did meet 2 other 300cforum members. We spoke about the cars and traded info from the forums. I saw another red gcsrt8 at Captree but didn't introduce myself (was that anyone from here?). On the drive back to queens myself and the 350z was playing a lil cat and mouse on the southern state pkwy. I drove by another red gcsrt8 (was that anyone from the forum?). Anyway I will be doing this again next week (weather permitting) and hopefully some more guys can come out.

Yes that was me at the rest stop. I didn't see you there I stopped toward the end of the area to clean my windows. Then went to Captree, I was somewhat disapointed at the turn out but it was cold and football was on later that day. I will try agin in the future, the cars I saw were really cool. My son loved it, he's just getting into cars [yesssss] he wants to go agin too. Sorry i didn't see you at the rest stop, but did see you flash you left behind on the southern state when you blew by me :-) I don't know what the wife has planned for this weekend so I'm not sure if I can make it there this weekend, but will try. Thanks for the heads up on the meet, it will be great when it warms up......Ron

Wow I guess you were looking for a cherokee srt8 at the rest stop...lol, and that was you at captree also. Happy you made it out. Sorry I didnt introduce myself, I did see you sitting in the car with your wife but I didnt want to walk up to someones car like that.
