I have a 2007 Dodge Charger SuperBee and I may get rid of my 2008 Escalade (Lease) and thinking about the 09 Jeep SRT, can I get the good, the bad and the ugly.

Thanks

Cant think of any bad. Very reliable truck no serious issues! Only downside would be the poor fuel economy and premium fuel but other than that they are great. You should be used to the fuel though coming from an Escalade. I say get it!

Superbee, I had an 07 SRT-8, got rid of it for a 07 GMC Yukon Denali and the denali drunks more gas than the SRT8.

ThanksYou might want to concider the '08s, I'm sure you'll get better pricing and I heard the PCM on the '09s is much harder to tune (there's a thread aout that somewhere here). But if you don't care about tuning it or the higher cost, then the '09 comes with a few nicer toys.

Like what toys? The best I have seen an 08 is 39K new and an 09 for 45K and while there is a 6K difference after two years there usually is a 4 to 6K difference per year so it almost washes it self out, long term so what nicer toys are in the 09.

I think the 09 has a feature where you can check your 0-60 time, 1/4, just for fun tho, maybe not so accurate?

The only new toys I'm talking abouty is the RKE (REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY) Front window express opening and the new performance display screen in the instrument cluster. Plus '09s come with red calipers, only some '08s came with the red calipers.

Not as loud as the brake squeel some of us experience with our SRT's. When we say loud we mean LOUD. lol My 08 does it so bad sometimes I have to pull out of my garage and brake using the e-brake just so neighbors dont wonder what in the hell is going on (or where the frieght train is). haha

I just bought a 2009 SRT today... it took me 2 years to finally pull the trigger. I flew into Phoenix and drove it home -- approximately 400 miles.

Last week I test drove a used 2006 E55 and a new 2009 GCSRT... the only thing I can say -- if you want to stretch your dollars, get the biggest bang for the buck and find a happy medium between SUV and sports sedan, the GCSRT is the ticket.

I would get a 2009. The leather enhanced interior, performance gauges and red painted Brembos are nicer... plus there's some new process ALCOA is using on the 09 SRT wheels to enhance durability.
