I've takin it in with all the mods on.. They didn't say anything. My main concern is my transfer case... I mean they couldn't say anything about my mods if the TC took a $hit on me could they?

^ yep they could. Hell they can say because of the additional horsepower you have on the vehicle from your mods it caused the tcase to break. Than you would be stuck paying a ridiculous amount of money for a tcase...So like I said..they could - but the question is would they.

It is said that extended warranties statistically are not worth it... apparently 60 percent of consumers who have extended warranties nationwide would have spent less money paying for their own repairs over the price they paid for their warranty...

if this number was the other way around warranty companies probably wouldnt exist and if they did warranty prices would be out of the avg consumers price range

With that being said i an getting one for my jeep... :)

its the roll of the dice and in the end id rather be in a position where i wish I didnt get a warranty over in a position of kicking myself wishing that i did get one... !

I would not bother. One of the big three is headed for bankruptcy and I am afraid it will be Chrysler. Then what?

^ yep. In order for chrysler to get the bailout money cerebrus has to seriously drop its stake in chrysler

I been buying mopars since 1959 and if theres a warrenty ill buy it. On todays cars there very costly to fix and in most states you can cancell them and get the unused part back from chrysler. The last 3 i bought i never used them and still got money back when i sold the car.

the government will probably pay for warranty and retirement obligations if that happens. otherwise, most states have provisions that allow you to cancel an extended warranty and receive the balance of the value.

i got one and id say its worth it. these are rare vehicles with many unique (expensive) parts compared to the run of the mill grand cherokees. id like to believe that SRT really tested the **** out of the drive train components but until we start seeing a lot of guys getting up around 70k who are driving these things like they beg to be driven its anyones guess as to how reliable they are.

im having the nav unit and shifter unit replaced on tuesday under my new extended warranty. that alone would probably be about the price of my warranty.

i wouldnt get one thru chrysler... not sure why people would b/c it limits you... id rather get one where you can bring your rig anywhere...

1700 for how many years and miles? whats the deductible...?

be cautious with online warranty companies... there are though a few out there that have some serious credibility

where are you from? i got mine from my bank on my bmw... i actually had to use it a few days after i bought her... ! tire went flat and i had to call road side assistance (comes with the warranty).. .they showed up 20 minutes later with a flat bed and took it to a shop for tire repair

I don't know if anyone remembers Warranty Gold??? Thought I would be smart and buy that instead of Ford's warranty on my exhibition and well...the SOB's went out of business and I was out. Don't know what will happen with Chrysler, but right now I would not purchase a third party. If it was me, I would purchase through Chrysler or not at all.

Yeah, warranty companies have come and gone. Have had a few through these guys over the years on vehicles I knew I was going to keep a while. Couple of claims and never a problem. Many options, such as repair facility choices. Also this one does not start both time frame and mileage from original in service date. Read em all carefully, guys.

They are basically an insurance policy, and a roll of the dice as to whether you will need it or not. At least you can get a pro rated return on your money if you cancel, or use the transferability aspect to bump your price a bit if selling privately.

AAA is also a provider of this warranty. You can call them for a quote also.
