: Valet Parking??
makvet 12-25-2008, 06:00 PM I am making a trip this weekend and the hotel that I am staying at only offers valet parking.
How do you guys feel about valet parking your rig??
I have never done this and I do not want to regret this decision. I am thinking about taking my wife's car.
chriscorv5 12-25-2008, 06:07 PM too bad you cant put it in limp mode on the diablo :(
Crookster777 12-25-2008, 06:09 PM Give the valet a 20 to leave it up front and you take the keys. Works every time.
Dr.Steve 12-25-2008, 06:11 PM either pay him off like Joe said; or do like I do, pay him off to park it YOURSELF up front, keep the keys, it's safe and you're still in control!
I try and avoid valet. I a few years ago, I was at the Palms in Vegas with my Procharged Yukon. I tipped them big to keep it up front. When I came out, I found the valet sitting in my truck reving the engine, showing off the cool whistle and blow off from the supercharger. At the time I was amused because I could hear it even before I saw it.
Vinnysrt8 12-25-2008, 06:58 PM Just pay them off and see what happens.
eddiefig 12-25-2008, 07:47 PM I dont trust anyone with my baby. Paying them would mean nothing if you didnt take the keys. It always runs through my mind what the hell they are doing with my truck. I am actually considering one of those computer things that you install to see the top speed, top RPM and where and when its been. Got my baby back from the dealer one time with 160 extra miles on the odometer and had no way to prove it.
SkyeHighSRT8 12-25-2008, 07:48 PM A good tip, and all is good...
The way I see it, if something is going to happen, it's going to happen no matter who is driving or what the senario. Just live, and do what you want, and roll with the punches.

The way I drive mine, no one can hurt it any worse that I do. That's peace of mind.
The only exception is Adam, aka onebadjeep. He has the driving skills to hurt mine..LOL. There is nothing like drifting in downtown Dallas.
eddiefig 12-25-2008, 07:51 PM True, but you just dont want anyone driving it the way you do. These things are fun and EVERYONE knows it.

What I don't know won't hurt me...LOL. If something breaks, it gives me an excuse to upgrade. The only thing that hurts me is body damage, if that happends with valet, I'd be pissed.
eddiefig 12-25-2008, 08:02 PM Heads would roll if she came back banged up. LOL.

Oh yea! I can't imaging the wrath I would unleach from deep down, I'm not even a violent guy, but I know.......very bad things would happen.:D
droppedenali 12-26-2008, 11:07 AM agreed. its a car, as long as its dented up then oh well, theres not much you can do about it.
on another note, 20 usually does the trick.

Grandcherokee51 12-26-2008, 11:31 AM lol when my uncle used to have a ferrari whenever he went to the country club or whatever he would always say theres a camera in it and if it goes anywhere ill know where and ill know who, and that would kinda scare the valet and then hed hand them some money. Kinda harsh but it always worked. On a side note he did have a camera in it lol for that reason

Thats a DAMN good idea. Im trying to think if I was a valet and someone told me that I would for sure not mess with it even if I did think he was lyin. Not worth it!
Great idea!

If they ONLY offer parking VALET style you are entitled to take keys with you. If the had a separate non valet parking lot than they could prohibit you from taking your keys...
so have them park it and take your keys.. just something less for you to think about while you enjoy yourself on your vaca...
CIVIC96NOS 12-26-2008, 04:48 PM Don't do it last time I did the guy hit a curve in my lexus

red03silss 12-27-2008, 09:53 AM Skye lets me drive it the way he does...
makvet 12-27-2008, 01:57 PM The money worked like a charm, unfortunately it cost me 40. The peace of mind is priceless.
BTW they let me park it immediately outside the valet office. Nobody's touching my rig.
Thanks guys for the input.
