It was bound to happen eventually: While I was standing at a red light, driver in lane to my left nudged my left side with his grille. No dents but paint is definitely scratched to the metal (light, thin scratches) - I was wondering what the best solution is here. I've heard some outrageous quotes on paint job fixups in the past and don't want to be caught off guard at the paint shop.

This sounds like it was the other driver's fault. If so, did you get a police report? You should be able to put a claim in through the other drivers insurance company and it won't cost you a dime. Let a profesional get it back to normal at no cost, no worry. Good luck.
