Hello I’ve been looking into srt8 for a while now ever since one of these smoked me in my 06 mustang gt. Long story short I totaled the mustang a year ago and got a 2007 bmw 325 (really nice but very underpowered) . Now I got the opportunity of trading it in (plus cash) for a 2007 Cherokee srt8. I know the 08's have much nicer interiors and such but are a little out of my buget. The question is the following I live in Mexico City and here the service dealers don’t get a lot of the recalls and such. And don’t really tell you the truth. So I was wondering if there are any problems or high maintenance costs I should be worried about since the car is now out of warranty.
Regards
Diego.

Lots of possible issues with the truck, some owners have experienced none. Do a search on the site for coolant spray, brake squeal (normal), service park assist (electrical problem); these are the big three I think, but the search button is your friend :)

buying any used vehicle out of warranty carries a risk, and that risk is even greater with performance vehicles that are typically driven hard more often than other cars.

Welcome to our site............brake squeal (not normal), keep you stock thermostat and less chance of coolant spray. ;)

Coolant spray still happens with the stock tstat, however, it does increase big time with the 180.
