Just wondering if there is that much of a differance?

My '06 has brilliant black - the quality is poor.

why do you say that? you have just black or do you have the brilliant black crystal pearlcoat? i thought the pearlcoat has kinda a brownish tint to it and its not as deep a black, or am i wrong?

All SRT8 GC's have brilliant black, and there is significant orange peel on most, if not of them (all colors show orange peel BTW).



The other SRT8 models do not have orange peel issues, only the Jeeps do.

well im wondering the diff on limiteds because i want a black limited and found one but it is brilliant black crystal pearlcoat and not sure if that is just another name for black or if it has a lighter color to it so its not as black?

Your right grystrm. I have both and when next to each other under lights at night, the pearl coat has a brownish hue to it. You wouldn't notice it if they weren't parked next to each other.

thanks, thats what i was looking for! mostlky im wondering because i want black 22s with a polished lip and want to make sure the black of the pearl coat color will be a close close match to the black rims. do you think itll be fine or will you really notice lioke mostly during day and in sun?

i don't think my black 07 has orange peel but ill look closer.

also does anyone know if i need to get an special paint when i get my rear quarter panel repainted because someone decided to hip check my car and put a huge dent in it so now i have to get the dent fixed and have it repainted. i just want to make sure the paint matches. The paint is just called brilliant black pearlcoat right?

Brilliant Black has a flake.
Black Clear Coat is straight black.
