Hey all, back in the States now and having a tough time adjusting! Cool having all the great stores and Americana, etc. But I REALLY miss driving in Germany. Picked up the SRT8 in Oakland last Friday after it spent 46 days in transit. I'm amazed at how little attention it gets here compared to Germany. I really think that most folks have no clue what it is or what it's capable of -- fine by me.
I've already spotted 4 other SRT vehicles in the Yuba City area -- 2 Jeeps, a silver and a red one (very dirty! Shame on you!!), a silver Mag SRT8(looked/sounded modified - thought I saw a Hennesey badge...) and a sweet silver 300C with what looked to be 22's or 24's on it. Probably 22's as it didn't look "cartoonish" like some of the rigs with 24's. Anyway, good to see the American muscle around here. Glad to be stateside again. Now, about these speed limits........

Welcome back! I talk about your 165mph speedo pic all the time. Glad to see you back on the forum and welcome back to the US! Why 46 days to ship? Man, you must of been worrying.

I was more worried about one of the guys hitting the front facia on something! It would be soooo easy for someone to jump in one of these things and think it's a "normal" SUV with high ground clearance and hit a loading ramp!! I will have to buff out the paint job because it looks like they washed and dried it with paper towels!! That black paint that I have taken such good care of (Only MICRO FIBER TOWELS) doesn't like rough care!! Bas-tards. I am so anal retentive about not even touching the paint unless absolutely necessary, it just makes me mad when these clowns cattle car your rig. If the weather cooperates, I will be buffing this weekend........ The rest of the truck came through unscathed.
Good to be back.
