Looked as smooth as a Sunday Drive. No drama at all. Congrats for keeping it together and putting it to the ground. 130mph in a brick is serious business!

I think you should hit the Texas Mile next, would love to see 180 in a jeep!! I had my jeep on a 2wheel dyno at 180 in 5th gear with the upshift arrow bliking. It was pretty cool. Love to see how fast it can get to in 1 mile!!

Nice Run, Looks like blow-by from heavy boost creating excessive crankcase pressure, then when you go off boost...poof there it comes! Hope you find a good PCV solution before the lower gaskets start leaking like a seive!...Spectacular run in 5,000lb box!

Chris HullTo hit 180 in the mile would require spinning the motor over 6700 rpm in 5th (assuming stock tire height and gearing). A gear swap would make it easier. I'd love to see it happen. I'd even volunteer to drive.

Yep the engine won't make many 10sec runs with the crankcase pressurized like that, and the rings blowing the boost right into the crankcase. :p

I guess the stock rings aren't good for boost.

the jeep still runs strong and the owner is coming to town this week to drive it.

Rollo Tomasi is an imaginary character from the 1997 movie L.A. Confidential, whose characters were based on the book of the same title. While not a real person (even within the fictional movie), he is a metaphor for the sort of criminal who is able to completely get away with his crime.

In the beginning of one of the threads he states that is a 1.81 60'. Many of us commented in the beginning that that is a crappy 60' and the truck has much more in it. Read the threads from the beginning and you find the posts.

A 1.8 60' is not a bad 60' for a big turbo. The first 60' you're still just building boost. The alternative is to go with a radical torque converter and cam with massive timing up front.

The Jeep can't do that and still maintain stock drivability, you may cut a 1.5 60' but it would be a BICH on the street to drive. Most modest torque converters can only hold the jeep to around 3K RPM's without a trans-brake, which doesn't technically exist yet for our rigs.

A trans brake will be hard on the rest of the driveline based on the weight of the Jeeps.
