i'm new to these jeeps, i was wondering if i deleted the front muffler would that make the jeep run funny and how loud would it be? also would i lose any power? i keep hearing good and bad things about after market exhaust and really don't wanna spend all that money to loose 5 or gain 5 or stay the same. so if anyone could please help
thanks

Are you using GC SRT8 Sim V. 2? I heard intake and exhaust deletions couldn't be done until V. 3. Anyway, make sure you copy it to your clipboard first so you can save it in case you want it back. ;)

The front is the only muffler, the back is the resonators. A catback system would be your best bet. IMO.

"idealrides" on this forum has done what you proposed. He would be the one to ask. Corsa/Mopar and B.B. cat-back systems have shown improvements by dyno as an alternative.

if you want a lot more noise and don't feel like spending a grand on a catback then by all means just have a shop remove the front muffler. I ended up getting the Mopar catback which is quieter and less raspy than with no muffler. The Mopar also produces more of a "tuned" engine type of sound which I prefer over the straightpipes. You can hear what the straightpipes sounded like in this video...

That sound horrible. I am sure the Mopar exhaust sounds so much better.

Get a B&B catback and be done with it. X-pipe.

The Mopar/Corsa made a true 20hp difference and 20 torque and was designed to work with our engines and stock header system. Why would you get anything else?? Its is 2.75" true flow thru duals with an engineered X pipe and they have no drone resonance......kind of a no brainer.
Here is what the Mopar Corsa sounds like with Kooks long tubes and high flow cats.
