They are just jealous of us nothing can be done about that. 85% frequint the SRT sites, wonder why? The member who started the thread was less than friendly? to some on the bl/orange site, sending unfriendly PM's? & didn't like humorous replies. I hope they all buy blazers, then there will be fewer SRT's around keeping it unique. SRT owners do like to mod, but thee isn't as much out there(for you 85% reading).

tbss post:
the funny thing about the srt8 owners is that they pick on us about all we have is just a trailblazer with a 6.0 in it,but they dont understand that all they have is a cherokee with the 6.2 in it.ill bet they dont even know what hemi means

6.2? This must be a new HEMI? Isn't HEMI an abreviation for hemiroid? Because it's such a pain in the competition's arse? Yeah, it's just a Cherokee(which is good enough in itself) w/it's Dana44, AMG type 5spd, special transfer case, & dual exhaust?:)

im not saying im on their side or nything bc i absolutly know how much better the srt8 is than the tbss stock, but i know what theyre saying about people not just on the srt8 forums but also on the tbss forums how some drivers are to hopped up on their own vehicle and think all the competition sucks and basically belittling them.....i also agree with them how forums are about informing the uninformed bc thats what these forums are about. and yah if i was to tow anything i might have gotten the tbss but i dont tow sh.t so i went with the faster of the two and plus the jeep looks better through my eyes.......its all about taste and what the buyer wants to waste his money on....just like i dont understand how people hate the chrome look on the outside and gets it painted over or how some people added mods, took them off then sold them bc they dont like the idea of mods.....like i said its all about taste and if they like their truck then thats fine they bought it for a reason same as why we bought ours....my friend has a tbss and its not a bad truck at all

They have just as many *******s on the TBSS forums as we have over here and on the "OC". I've read some insane stuff about our Jeeps over there, but I would never bash there whole community because of a few idiots. My fav was the guy who "claimed" his buddy with a jeep had blew like 3 trannies and engines or something, even the TBSS guys know that guys an ass.

American muscle is back and we should all be proud!

I'm the one who started those threads.

I'm an unbiased car enthusiast and I own neither the Chevy or the Jeep.

The "asses" are not here.
There are at another Jeep SRT forum shown in the links.

I think all the TBSS guys agree that the SRT is the better performing, better looking, and HIGHER priced.

I think the TBSS can only compete in interior room, towing ability, and LOWER MSRP.

The only reason I haven't already purchased a SRT is because the truck will be my 2nd/3rd vehicle and my PERONAL needs are:
1) AWD
2) 4 doors
3) Cargo Capacity
4) Price

As a daily driver,
the Jeep is a no-brainer.

But as a 2nd/3rd vehicle for the needs that I have,
it's a hard decision between the SRT and the TBSS.
The decisionis made even harder when I consider even LOWER used TBSS prices and also the mods that are available to allow the TBSS to equal the SRT's stock performance for a couple of hundred dollars.

As soon as I find either a TBSS for $20k or a SRT for $25k,
I will pull the tirgger.
I'm in no rush and I can wait for both of the vehicles to depreciate to the above amounts.

my $0.02...

Over a year ago I had a choice to buy a TBSS below invoice, or the SRT at full MSRP. I had them both priced out with options and the TBSS was over 10k cheaper, but I went with the SRT. At the time it was a tough call but it turned out to be well worth the additional cost. I just today was checking out a TBSS in person for the first time (well actually I was hitting on the MILF that was driving it) and it seems like a nice truck, just not my cup of tea.

I looked at a TBSS while getting my work vehicle serviced, it is nicer than the regular Trailblazer but still lacking the mean, nasty look that our JGC SRT8's have. I think healthy competition between owners of modern American muscle trucks is great as long as we are civil. I can't believe that they have a long thread where they bash SRT8 owners, I don't think we do that here.

Ok, I would like to offer a reply to this series of posts, which I feel was intended to flame, and infuriate Jeep SRT8 owners at SRT8 forums. banghead.gif eek.gif confused2.gif blink.gif mad.gif In case you are wondering, I am a member of the SRT8 forums, AND the Trailvoy forums as well. And I feel that BOTH forums were very professional in dealing with a fan such as myself. However, This site and forum needs to seriously rethink about bashing otherbrand owners rides, because they do not own or like the TBSS.

Now as for me, I will be in the market for either a TBSS or a Jeep SRT8, when my settlement closes for a WC case for a 2xs in one week for a eek.gif fractured right knee at work.

About my knowing between a 6.0 litre Blazer SS and a Jeep with the 6.1, yes I do know the differences among each of them, and I will not put EITHER brand down for owning what they like. I DO know the Jeep is just a Jeep with a hemi, as the Blazer only has the vette motor in it. Happy? I have owned 36 cars and trucks of all differing brands as I grew up, so I have different tastes. From a 1971 BB El-Camino, first car, to a 97 CVPI current. In case you CHEVY ONLY members here, thats a retired Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, so I do think I do know what I am talking about.

Just be happy that the car manufacturers are bringing out the SS and SRT8 for us to even enjoy, ever think of that, geniuses?

If you would like to be mildly entertained or amused, please see my posts about comparisons between the TBSS and the SRT8, just look for my name there and you'll see the posts.

I know the TBSS is lacking in some areas compared to the SRT8, and not only performance wise. In safety crash tests does the TBSS only manage an AVERAGE in front crash tests. I have a wife and pre school daughter, and I want them to be safe in what I drive.

I know my post was all over the place in replies, but there was some points I wanted to bring up.
Before trying to flame and pi$$ off the SRT8 owners for only having a Hemi in the Jeep, think about your guests reading what you write.
bows,
Kimono_skunk

To DXC owners,
It amazes me how mature "individuals" who have drivers licenses issued to them....who own Corvettes and Trailblazers want to be DXC product owners. I mean think about it, they come over to the blue site asking questions... then run back to the Chevy sites and report what we say....... then run back to the red site report more negativity..... then back to another Chevy site........then they have the spine to come back to our DXC product sites and call us asses. I mean we have some Ford owners who are members and they have assimilated and do not resort to name calling or displaying acts of insecurity and product displeasure. All these Chevy guys state, "I wanted a Jeep but".....but what???.....you toss pennies like their manhole covers?????.....thats not our fault!!!

Some of us who have worked our whole life and may be well heeled have more than one performance vehicle. Some of us decided this is what we wanted to spend and justified it. So I guess that gives the TBSS or Corvette characters a right to come over here to antagonize and insult us. I mean who asked them to speak on a subject they know nothing about? Stay on your side of the world and you wont get your feelings hurt!!!

Look......we are all guest here, however some of us actually own the product this forum was started for......I for one dont need (nor will I lose sleep over) some snot nose upstart who dislikes us because we spent more, trolling here making snide, uneducated, moron like remarks based on emotion or the lack of knowledge or credit or money or whatever reason they have for not buying a Jeep.

We need to keep a lid on these Jeep haters and ask the moderators what agenda do they have. They have nothing to add as to the performance or asthetics of our vehicles. So why are they here trolling around??

These guys view us as the enemy unless we kiss their butts....Like i said they state.." I wanted a Jeep but"..... I suggest they sit on their stiff plastic Chevy shifters to get their minds off of us.

Lets see what mature pontification comes out of one of these bright individuals next so we can prove our point.

I couldn't say it much better. I'm not mentioning names, but a few are the instigaters namely one who started a thread about SRT8 ownerr being ****. general's thread getting locked elswhere seemed a little premature, I feel it wasn't too harsh.

Here is what a TBSS owners said elswhere:
Re: Purchasing SRT-8 Jeep as a 2nd/3rd vehicle. Purchase evaluation
Both great vehicles. If I had it to do over again, I'd have probably gone with the SRT8. I'm getting pretty tired of 2800 RPM @ 75 mph. The four speed just doesn't cut it in a daily driver. I bought my SS in December of '05, and the Jeep wasn't even on the road yet. As for the throttle response and quirky shifting of the SS, a tune makes a world of difference in these things. After having mine tuned, it jumps off the line and shifts much better.

A lot of guys have a great deal of brand loyalty. I personally know more about the GM LS engines simply through working on my Vette. That made the SS more attractive to me simply because of familiarity.

In the end, drive 'em both, buy the one your adrenal gland and wallet tell you to buy and enjoy the ride. There are di#^s in any automotive forum you go to, I wouldn't let that dictate what I drove to work every day.

BTW: If the Magnum SRT8 was AWD, that would be my next vehicle when the lease is up on my SS. I think they are flat out one of the most distinctive and original vehicles on the road, bar none.

Aparently matts missed this after his other post:
OKAY, I'VE HAD IT WITH THE NAME-CALLING AND PERSONAL ATTACKS...
