Welcome, we think more or less alike......I had an 03 Evo and an 04 STi.

No G though, but an E46 M3.

And I also live unfortunately on LI. :)

TurboWill --- I went from a G35 coupe 6 sp to the SRT8. Completely different rides. I like the SRT better but it does not handle like the G.

Why not just trade the G in early, Jeep will buy out the lease.

Yeah, but he's going to pay for it......no dealers eat payments (despite what they might say or advertise).

The remaining payments either comes out your pocket up front, get's buried in a finance term or lease, or the dealer pays the lease off but you won't get the max discount on the new vehicle that you could get otherwise.

I wouldn't excpect it to handle like the G. How do you like the truck overall? Im actually going to pay off what I owe on the G35, and hand it back early. I only have 6 payments left on it.

Yeah, I've been meaning to go down to Captree for some time.....definitely some serious cars show up. You can't really ask for much more than an Enzo.

The SRT is fun in a different way than the other cars I've had. Its one thing to go fast in a car but another to go just as fast in a small SUV....rather amusing to say the least.

And the handling is surprising as well for what it is.

The ride won't bother you as you're used to sport suspensions.

An overall very entertaining rig for what you $. Just before you sign on the dotted line though, examine the paint for flaws. Pick the vehicle up during the day.

Trading in a lease car is no different then trading in one you own, assuming there is no penalty for early pay off. If you are upside down, you are upside down regardless if you lease. If the car is worth more the the payoff then......But if you are upside down, it points to one two things, you paid to much for the car or the dealer is giving you to little for the trade (there are a few other possibilities). AND YES even on a lease car you should negotiate your price and get your terms based on the negotiated price. The lease will provide some protection from getting upside down, at the end of the lease you get to walk away regardless of the value.

The car has a X value your payoff is Y. If Y is larger the X you are upside down.

I have had lease cars that I have traded in that had a higher value then what was left on the lease.

All dealers will try to get your trade for the least amount of money and if you are not an informed buyer on the value of your car then you will get screwed.
