Posted a video of me racing a '06 jeep srt8 with about 7000 miles on it and no TCM TSB yet. This race was just to show how much a good driver and a TSB can change a race haha. mine is a 07 with about 1200 miles on it.

There are also other new vids under my profle of us from a roll and vs a modded A4

I guess this proves that the 07 models don't need the TSB , right ?

good job. I have a blk 07 also, great news!

did you let up on the A4? I'm guessin since your speedo indicates this. you took him no problem during first few hundred yards...

too bad its from a dead stop..you should try it from about 20mph ....when the trans wont kickdown.

I have a 07 that does kick down at 20 MPH - go figure

Also, there are 2 vids against the 06, one is from a roll..

my truck was a late sept build - I think one of the earlier 07s

I am starting to think that maybe the reason your truck doesn't downshift is because the computer has adjusted its shifting based on how you drive the Jeep. Probably wrong, but the computer does adapt..

wow that's a much bigger differance then i expected. that can't just be a 1 year diff can it?

its just all software - now if someone could just crack the code I cant imagine how fast you could get a stock gc to go.

The TCM fix got rid of that for me.

I'm surprised at the difference. How much of this is related to the driver? Can't be much cause driving the GC SRT8 is a "no brainer." Ya know, nail the gas and steer. I'm scheduled for the TCM TSB on the 15th, so I guess I'll be able to see for myself.

HELP! I took my 06 in for the TCM flash today and a slow tranny fluid leak. The service advisor just called me and said "before we do the TCM reprograming, I just want you to know it will make the vehicle slower so are you sure you want it?" He could not explain what he meant by slower and I really have not noticed the 1-2 shift hesitation so I decided to wait. Can anyone who has already done this advise? Is your truck somehow "slower" after the flash?

Nowhere have I read that an '07 is faster than an '06. The TSB may play a part, but i'm guessing it's more, like driver/mod/options/luck of the draw/gas/etc. IMO.

Yeah but the driver also sucks. But it is still a difference. I'll put a vid up of when he had in in D (drive) from a roll also. Its a much closer race but was only from 20-about 70mph

It is somewhat driver related. because he loses time when shifting in maunal mode cuz he is usually late. when we raced in D he was closer because there was no driver error.

Hmmm, looks like mine is doing this now too..

at 30 on, its fine, but tonight at about 20 MPH, it didn't seem to downshift
