The handle is ‘POPS’ as I am probably twice the age of any one else in this forum and possibly the age of you all together. In any case my first muscle car was a 1960, 409 Chevy Impala with 3 Rochesters, progressive linkage, Mallory duel ignition and straight thru dual exhaust with AP glasspacks. This history makes reading all your comments very interesting, and confirms that the more things change, the more they stay the same. All of you seem very enlightening and knowledgeable. Thank you for your input. I’ve have been leasing GC Jeeps for many years because I enjoy getting a new vehicle every few years with all the newest bells and whistles, plus I’m always under warranty. The SRT Jeep will take me back a few years. My current lease is up 2/1/07. I have already put in a order, with $500 down, for an ’07. The dealer I have been working with for many years will give me a good price. He knows I will be back. My question is, does Jeep take priority orders for long-term customers? Not that I anticipate any problems getting delivery, but it would be nice to know.

The handle is ‘POPS’ as I am probably twice the age of any one else in this forum and possibly the age of you all together. To be twice my age you'd be 100. That seems unlikely. My first "Muscle Car" was/is my 1970 Dodge Super Bee: Sublime Green, 4-Speed, 440 6/Pack.

Welcome. It's always good to hear from "pops" in the crowd. Keeps us all humble. For what its worth pops, you have me by at least ARH1956's age. ;) The young ones keep you younger.

I don't think that is the point of this thread, but either way I'll be turning 24 in October.
