OK its been 28 days and I have not seen my truck....I call and they say they are working on it and it should be done soon. So i am going away on business soon and I had left some things in the truck that I need. So i go up to the dealer and get some kid to let me go in the service bay area. Well there my truck was all alone in the corner on the lift with the motor on a hoist and the other block sitting on the crate still...... Well let me tell you guys I let it fly!!!!!!!!
I went looking for everybody and anybody in charge and well found the service Manager that i finally get to talk to for the 1st time since my truck has been in.
And he tells me he doesn't know why they have not gotten me a new truck yet or bought me out of it??? So much for being a service manager I won't let this guy service my lawn mower.
So I tell them I want the owner to personally call me and when the truck is done he will be there when i pick it up or if i pick it up.

Is your car too old for Lemon Law? Or is your state not as giving?

If they would get you in a same style but 07, why not. It can't hurt, maybe even get an extra option or two, or extended warranty. Its probably easier for them to bargin with you still in a car. Also what other suv really compares if performance is your goal. I sold and Escalade to get mine and thought I would miss the amenities. I am much happier with the GCSRT.
Most cars will have a problem or 2 and while yours was excessive what is the probability you could actually get 2 bad motors.
I do think owners in colder climates will hear the pistons slap a bit on cold start just like every LS1 or LS block family. If using hypereuretic or forged pistons the clearances are larger than cast.

I vote take the new one. Odds of 2 lemons to same owner not likely.

Man...get away from it...My truck has 1300 miles and has awful brake screetch...Nav screen cracked, motor is making a terrible noise...I like it but am beginning to think it's a piece of ****!!! Oh yeh and that rear end clunk is embarrasing and whats worse is that I already ordered Heads/Cam and stall!!! I think I'm going back to an Escalade and just throw a Supercharger on it!

Go for an 07'. There is NO vehicle that doesn't have issues of any kind. Have you owned one? You unfortunately bought one built the day before XMAS or the day before a day off, etc.

If it were me, I would get the new one. Worst case scenario, even if the new one doesnt suit you, you can sell that one too.
