here driving a srt? i start as a Federal C.O. on Monday. This is a big step in what i want to do. i figure i can get out of a few jams when i need to, in the line of work i will be doing!!!!!!

Yes - I meet one of your requirements. I am an LEO but like stage fright mentioned, due to the pay scale, I don't own an SRT.....yet. I just have to rely on driving my friends SRT until I get my own (and yes, being in this line of work does have it's advantages, especially when driving your friends SRT between Reno and SLC on I-80 ;) not that I condone that type of driving)

Yes sir - in the mid 80's I was on the job in NY for 4 1/2 years. An opportunity came up for corporate security (physical and information) at an international computer company. They were specifically looking for young PO's and CO's that had all the training and 3-5 years with the job. It wasn't a job for retirees. We even maintained our Peace Officer status with tri-state arresting powers. I decided to give up the 20 year retirement back then. Although my career is no longer in law enforcement - it was the best years of my life! Today, I am actually a computer nerd.
