I Know Of A Towing Company In Brooklyn That Does Repo And Parking Lots And They Towed A Black 07 Jeep Srt8 Today From Keyfood Parking Lot In Greenpoint Bklyn. They Towed It At 1 Pm Today And I Spoke To Him At 8pm And Nobody Claimed It. They Lifted It From The Back And The Front Wheels Spin And Steering Dont Lock Then They Opened Door To Tie Down Steering. These Jeeps Are Very Easy To Steal.

cars and bikes are so easy to steal it's a joke. the manufacturers know this, but improving the anti-theft measures runs counter to their financial interests. every car & bike stolen leads to a new purchase and what stupid company would want to put a dent in that?

many years ago I had a land rover that a tow company tried reposesing (the tow company screwed up they where suppose to repo my neighbors Range rover and I guess the tow truck driver got confused) I got woken up to sqealing tires of them literally dragging it on dry payement onto a flatbed!

I had my gun as I ran outside and I thought the towtruck driver was going to **** himself... police showed up 5 minutes later and got things taken care of.

Tow company paid for:
-4 new tires
-new rear bumper
-aligment
-full detail (toe truck driver had his paw prints all over it)
-and free towing for me & friends for a year :)

Yep that's the problem if no after market alarm letting you know they can lift up rear and go. I really thought these trucks would be hard to take. Emergency brake will only lock the back wheels. I don't think there is away from lifting from the front without destroying bumper.

In all reality a theif wont care if they hurt something... fact is if they want it they will get it. I had a friend that did repos and you would be amazed what they would do with no one questioning them at all.

it would until the guy jimmies the door open and disengages the brake.. or if you have secure doors, i guess all it would take is to get under the truck and cut the e-brake cable.

You should see what they use in London England - there is no room between the cars so they have to lift them!

At least it won't mess up your transfer case!
