: towing hitch part number
kperry 11-17-2008, 06:15 PM what is the part number for the mopar hitch? I don't want to have to move my exhaust. I know it isn't rated to tow over 3500 pounds but I want to tow my snowmobile trailer. I ordered part number 82210037AC is that right? Thanks just picked up red rock loaded including sat TV 2008 for 40,000 otd...Kirk

Looks like it will work. Site above shows AB as last 2 characters.
kperry 11-17-2008, 06:31 PM Ive seen ones that don't need to do anything to the exhaust do I have to move the exhaust? I don't want to have to do that...
If you buy the srt hitch you can use your stock exhaust. The last pic is w/ the Mopar/Corsa exhaust.

The part number is on the link in the top right corner of the above post. I think you just ordered the newer model number

kperry 11-17-2008, 07:00 PM I saw the pictues of the mopar hitch with the corsar exhaust will that work without the added 700 exhaust upgrade kit? I don't wan to spend that kind of money. I just want to bolt on the hitch
Are you not looking at my pics? I showed you the stock exhaust on top pic. Mopar exhaust on bottom pic. What more can I show you?
kperry 11-17-2008, 07:17 PM got it thanks but when you go to the link you left it says that you need the upgrade kit but by your picture it looks like you don't need it ....Kirk

You do not need to buy the walrus tips. You have ordered the right hitch. You can use your stock exhaust. You need to get a plastic rivet gun. You need to remove your bumper and rear inner wheel covers. Do you want more pics?

kperry 11-17-2008, 07:29 PM that would be great. I'm thinking of having the dealer put it on. I ordered the hitch and wiring harness today not sure I trust myself doing it at home. I was going to give them the pictures too...Kirk
Good luck.

garyholl 11-17-2008, 07:49 PM My understanding is that the dealer will insist on the cat back exhaust system upgrade before they will put the hitch on for you. I just installed it myself too. I also kept the stock exhaust (for now.)
kperry 11-17-2008, 07:49 PM thanks for your help
mgurgone 11-17-2008, 08:16 PM Chad---- Did you have to remove the exhaust tips from the hangers as well? From the picture it is tough to tell.
Thanks!!!

Good luck believing that. Click on the link on post #2 for the correct description.
mgurgone 11-18-2008, 06:30 PM Yes but it is easy.
Thanks for the info. I am still trying to make my Curt hitch work.... I had to make a couple notches in it so the B&B pipes don't hit it while vibrating....
So far so good, but I have the Mopar hitch and will go that route if I can't make this work.
Thanks Again!!!

Here is the clamp that needs to be undone to remove the resonators.

I think you are looking at a hitch for a regular Grand Cherokee. I believe you need to find the one for the Grand Cherokee SRT8, like the other link someone else mentioned.

The part number is correct but the description is for a reg GC hitch. It mentions a 2" receiver which is wrong.
BlackFlie 11-19-2008, 01:10 PM damm stupid mopar website. I did choose SRT8 but it apprears it changed it all..
Piss me off.
I need something that big, was hoping something has come out for our setups without having to go custom... im poor cant afford that :)
