: newbie ? 06 vs 07vs 08
thisguy973 11-13-2008, 06:53 PM just signed up to the sight and in the market for an 8. my buddy has an 08 that i drive frequently and i love it... comparing it to another buddys 08 m5 and ones x5 4.8 personally like the cherokee hands down....but i have driven a few 06's and they dont seem to have the same snapp as the 08 has any one else experienced this or is it just my imagination...and why are the silver ones drastically cheaper than any other color?
Vinnysrt8 11-13-2008, 06:55 PM The 07 and 08 r the same power train just diff color interior 06 has diff transmision but has same color interior as 07 i would rather get an 07 or 08 or 09

Vinny...I think from 06-09 there all the same Nag1 trannys...im sure someone else will chime in on this...Persoanlly, I love my 2006...but, its the only one Ive ever been in also!
Grip Grip 11-13-2008, 06:57 PM Welcome aboard. There should be no difference in the performance since their introduction, but I recommend you get at least the '08 for the interior, mygig, new front end, projector HID's, etc. :)
navyavi469 11-13-2008, 07:13 PM The powertrains are identical for all existing model years. The only thing that may be different is the tuning tweaks that Chrysler may have done (TSB's).
thisguy973 11-13-2008, 07:16 PM thanks for the info..... i see theres an 08 on ebay now where the seller is asking 24,000 and it has under 15k i emailed the seller but have gotten no response....so still looking ...what would a good price be for an 08 with low mileage with all the good stuff?

That sounds like a scam to me.
Like others said, go for an 08 with the nicer interior, factory HID's, and MYGIG.
Plus, I don't care what any 06-07 owners say, the 08's are the fastest. :D

But once you throw in a CMR tune, it really unleashes the engine...Right Winston?

Don't rush and don't get scammed. Enjoy Jamaica and get the '08 when you return--you won't be sorry. :D

JeepSRT8GC 11-17-2008, 08:43 PM You can't even get a loaded 07 at the auction for less than 25,000.00 (unless it has high miles and not loaded)....
jaras1976 11-24-2008, 11:13 AM I just bought a 06 with 41K mile and paid $24K and after driving it. there was no way I was gonna buy anything else. I haven't wanted anything this bad since the GMC Cyclone and or Typhoon came out. I have always wanted a all wheel drive sports car with more than 2 seats and cargo room. The 400+HP helps alot too.
I would think a 08 with low miles you will be looking around $32K and up
rosstermyer 12-10-2008, 05:16 PM i just got my 07 with 17k miles for 26900
thisguy973 12-10-2008, 08:24 PM thats a good deal... i decided just to get an 08 might have to save some more money but it will be worth it i really like the interior and the updated front.
