Can you guys list how you launch and what your times were... i know all cars are different, but for some reason i think putting it in manual mode pics up much faster... almost as if it is in second sometimes in drive...

I have to launch by rolling on the throttle or I get rediculous wheel spin. Precision says best way to launch their converter is between 1100 - 1300. I have a 3200 stall. It spins less when I launch at 2000 then 1200, but easing on the throttle yields better 60mph times.

I put it in autostick, but let it shift itself, turn TC off, and brake stall to about 1500 rpm. 0-60 in 4.11 and 1/8th of 8.134 @ 84.45.

do you turn the ESP off only or take the fuse out?

Just hit the button to turn it off....I don't pull the fuse...have heard too many bad things and mixed reviews about that.

tc off, autostick to 1st, mash pedal

TC off, put it in 1st via autostick but let it shift itself. No brake stall, just mash the gas, the rpms build and hit the stall converter better than when you try to brake stall it. The entire purpose of a stall converter is to spin the rpms up quickly then let it rip. Brake stalling does not help.

For you maybe.....I have done both and get better times and reactions with brake stalling.

That is what I do and have found that 40psi in the front and 35psi in the rear help with weight distribution (thanks Jim383) and now cut consistant 1.79 60' and 8.01 1/8's

i thought higher stalls were for braking... so you can launch in your torque band...

Our stock stall converter was designed to launch hard from idle, I do not see any benefit from brake stalling and raising the RPM's before launching

well see thats different then

Thats the biggerst difference between our Jeep and the TBSS, the stall converter. Our stall converter is plain ol NASY from a dig.

Funny thing, the brake stalling still works a lot better for me, and I can feel the difference as well as see the time differences.
