Does anyone in here know what the proper oil pressure is at idleing for the GC srt8? I just changed my oil and haven't really paid attention to the oil pressure gauge in the past. I assume that it is normal that the oil pressure increases as you rev the engine, but I want to know what is the correct oil pressure reading while it is idleing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anything above 04 psi is safe at idle. At 3000 rpm you should be at 25 psi or higher.

Oil pressure is also determined by the engine and oil temperature. When my GC SRT8 is up to normal operating temp and the oil temp is around 221, my pressure at idle is usally 21-23 psi. This is using the recommended 0W-40 oil. In the summer when I switch over to 10W-50, I expect the oil pressure to rise a little bit.

As above the normal oil presures in this engine seem a bit high.
I've been reading 70 or so on cold startup. It will go down some
as the oil gets hot which usually takes 8-10 miles of driving
