Well, I got to drive/beat on a 6.1L/6spd Challenger...and I was impressed!
The car was black, loaded all the way except sun roof with hood stripe delete.Damn nice looking car! The feel of the car is outstanding..handles well, with ample torque to bring back the feel of yesteryear! The short throw re-worked Tremec 6spd has a old school feel with the pistol grip. Overall...Real nice car!...and I was almost hooked..and almost brought the car at MSRP, but they would only offer me $22,000 for my Jeep!...talk about low ball..for a 5890 mile perfect Jeep. That's all they could get, shopping it around to various dealers!.If they would have given me $26,000..I would be in the Challenger..Just FYI..anyone else drive a 6spd yet?

tell ya the truth 22k for a trade in value is good... makes me sick saying that but its true...

and i would NEVER buy that car for MSRP... no way bro... any car for that matter especially with this economy..... you pay INVOICE and thats that.... so right there you bring your cost 2500 closer to that 4k you want to make up... tell them 22.5 for the jeep and than have them throw an extended warranty onto the challenger to make up that 1k and call it a day...

LOL! I hear ya!... They had MRSP+$5,000..on it..I made it to MRSP..That's why I wanted $26,000 for the Jeep and would have thought about it @ $25,000.

The 6 speeds suck. Testing is showing them to be slower then the autos, even with the deeper rear end gears and LSD. If theres no performance advantage, theres no reason to bother shifting yourself. I can't stand driving stick anyway, but that just seals the deal.

Anthony, It's not my daily..and never have been car poor,that's why I guess I will never get to retire...pay to play,right..I keep hoping I will reform myself somwhow,but I don't see it happening anytime soon!

Both Motor Trend and Automobile showed slower times with the 6 speed then the automatic.

Ahhh the infamous Nanny mode that wont let you slam through each gear....bahh...should not even have this on a performance car...

You hardly even notice the skip shift on the Challenger. It only happens between 18 and 21mph, so shifting earlier or later avoids it.

It will be just like GM's skipshift..everyone will complain about it and it will be the first thing eliminated and they won't have a clue what it even is.
