Just wanted to let everyone know that the 3rd annual HHP Frozen Balls & Bearing's Shootout will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Raceway Park in Englishtown.

Just as before, I believe the gates will open between 8-9am. They are only running 1 session this day, so hopefully it won't last until the eveing hours like last year.

Mark your calanders. This will be 1 of the last days of the year for good racing action, and hopefully some good fall cold weather! Long johns are optional

How strict are they with saftey equip..?

Meaning i have a helmet i use at the local track"cecil" but it doesn't have a dot crash rating sticker inside,so are the techs going to check before they let me run?

Everytime I go to etown they just check it at tech inspection. All I got is a DOT sticker and no snell sticker and the guy never says anything to me. I have never seen them check helmets at the lanes or right before you run.

i bought my helmet off e-bay "hjc" brand for $150 but most higher end helmets costing 300+ have different crash rating stickers inside the helmets
I know summit racing sells drag racing approved helmets that have the stickers and dot... but i opted out from buying those cuse there plain...

Wed's and Friday's thats the case. Not saturday and sunday events.

Ahh im pissed I didnt make it today..was supposed to but ended up setting my alarm clock for 8pm instead of am...woke up at 11:30 and went back to bed..

same...well kinda. I use my phone alarm and it shuts off really really really easily. I hit it off and was not to be waken til later. Why cant these things be in the afternoon!!!

We were allowed to run only the 1/8 mile do to the cold and wind.
Do to the traction problems like 2 or 3 vettes crashed against the wall.
I made it to the last 4 cars but red lighted on the semifinal :mad:
But overall I did great, jeep ran very consistent 8.0 in the 1/8 and .0x reaction times until the red light. and 1.76 60fts.

I let Joe and the others talk about their runs....

I had a great time. I was freezing. LOL. I hated the 1/8th mile runs, but what can you do? I won the first round. Beat a Magnum. Then I lost to Ron. Lucky fugger. I fell asleep at the tree. :( Thats why I lost.

And on the way to the track, Mario and I taught a Rustang a lesson. :D

yes was a greate time , my best time was 7.93 in 1/8 mile I need more practice at the lunch with the 426 is so diferent, to much power ,I was burn the 4 tire all the track , was a nice day
