Does anyone have any info on northeast winter driving/handling tips? Specifically, I heard that there may be an available winter kit consisting of smaller tires and (shorter)front grille.

I'm waiting on some 18" Alba wheels with LM-25 blizzaks (255/55VR18). They've been test fitted and clear the calipers. I'm up in Montreal, Canada.

Thanks! - what about the front end? Not that I plan on running in the snow - we just got the new 4 door Rubicon specifically for that & fun - but the grille is so low that sometimes I wish that it came with "front park sense" also because of the high curbs in my neighborhood. I would like to make that change between now and March so that my SRT/8 doesn't lay dormant.

by the way - I just opened up your attachment on the Alba's. Those are some pretty nice looking rims! Not a sacrifice to winterize the rubber!

Now that is an interesting thought...adding sensors to the front. My poor wife is terrified that she's gonna have a run-in with a curb

maf1960,

19"'s are availabe now from Tirerack if you prefer...

For the front air dam, I understand your concern. I've come close to curbing it a couple of times. Easily solution is to back into parking spot :)

For now, we haven't had that much snow up in Montreal and the roads are pretty much plowed right away, so the low clearance hasn't been a real issue for me. If you live in remote area or have to go offroad a lot, its a real concern. if you want to spend the $$$, perhaps you can order a Laredo front, but color match may not be exact. I'll take my chances for now...

kman,Thanks! We've had 0 snow in (lower) NYS thus far...pretty odd for this time of year. The 19" sound interesting. Happy New Year!
