Did three 0-60 runs with my stock truck today. Two of the three were done with the auto trans, and one with the auto stick. The results I got suggests that using the autostick is the way to go, as I got my best 0-60 time with it at 4.19 seconds. The two runs in automatic were nearly identical at 4.36 and 4.33 seconds - the only difference was the temp - the second, lower # being at 30 degrees.
Damn, this is some fun $hit!!!!

Damn those are some nice times Timster! How many miles do you have? I have about 4700 and the best I've done is 4.47 sec with a stop watch. I'm sure the GTech is more accurate but either way you're making me feel a little jealous here. It sounds like you had the luck of the draw with yours. I wonder if we all can expect times like yours as the engines break in. Let's hope so!

I got approx 2600 mile on it now. I think you may be right about me getting lucky with a slightly more powerful truck, but I think the low temps definitely helped also. I love this truck!!

It's in the low thirties where I'm at and I haven't had any runs like yours to the best of my knowledge. After I get my GTech maybe I'll get better and more accurate times. Until then I'll just sit here seething with envy! ;)

I think for the most part they are pretty accurate. I found an article by Car and Driver you can look at to make your own conclusions.

timster, Thats an insane 0-60 mph time, mostly stock GC SRT8 are in the 4.3 to 4.5 range. On that 4.19 time, what was the 1/4 mile E.T.

Unfortunately the stretch of road I've been doing the runs on isn't quite long enough for 1/4 mile times.
I may do some early morning freeway runs (4-5 AM) this weekend for the 1/4 mile. If I do, I'll post my results
