so...being a native of Arizona...I'm used to the open roads...even opener parking lots...
4 days with my new srt8...and i already have road rash on my passenger rear wheel!!! AND i've done it twice!!!
...i'm an idiot...is there a driving school somewhere around here!!
any ideas on repairing scratched wheels!??

yeah, that's what i was thinking...it's only noticeable if you really look at the rim...but still rather disappointing!!
I guess i was planning on blacking out the rims later on down the road....

LOL wait until it starts snowing and all the salt eats 10" deep potholes in the roads! I love this city!
I hope you're getting paid A LOT to work here instead of AZ.

Chicago salt also eats deep holes into these anemic stock rims!!

Just watch out for the prius sized potholes after the winter salt :D...its like driving and playing a video game at the same time dodging those craters......thank god they did some work on North Ave. - you couldnt even avoid the potholes on that road....i actually cracked my rim a quarter of an inch nailing one of those suckers in my old '07,

They are currently repaving the north side of lake shore drive. Should be done soon.

^ the problem is that the asshats are too cheap to use concrete like schaumburg has been using. Most of the time they use asphalt which with our winters and salting turns into a nightmare in 2-3 years tops.

Alloy Wheel Repair Talk to Wally (708) 574-5677. $75 per rim. He just fixes where its damaged. He cant & wont do the whole rim. Its worth the $ for as many times i've hit these damn rims. I think i've posted a picture of my rims being done with a picture of his mobile truck. best part is he dose it on site.
