Anyone else ever have a water leak issue?

I have what seems to be a sizeable water leak by the front passenger door. Seems to be coming out of where the screw holes are for the front passenger side windshield grabhandle.

I can't tell if it's the sunroof or the windshield. Makes it more difficult because I do not think I can remove the headliner to look due to the side airbags.

I found about an inch of water in the passenger footwell this AM. Thank god for the HuskyLiners which caught it all.

This truck is really turning out to be a P.O.S.!

That's the first I've heard of that problem. That sucks.

I don't think there's a TSB related, but here: http://www.wkjeeps.com/wk_tsb.htm
The dealer should fix the issue.

There is a TSB for this.

Its either the sun roof drain tubes that have been routed incorrectly, or the windscreen not sealed correctly, or sealant in the roof / pillar joint not doing itsjob !!

Mine does it on the drivers( RHD) side on occasions, she`s booked in to the dealer to sort it out next week.

Thanks SRT8, I reviewed the TSB for the 2005's, pulled the "A" Pillar trim and headliner and checked the drain tube but it looks good all the way down.

I poured buckets of water on the truck trying to duplicate but no luck.

If there is a TSB it must be a common problem. I'm surprised I've not heard of this before.
MRICORP - Can u tell where its coming from?

Nope.

I pulled the headliner and poured a ton of water everywhere and could not find the leak.

Nope.

Mine only drips a little from the front pillar trim covers when the rain ( or over zealous jet wash) has been directed from the rear of the car ...... so it doesen`t show up in normal use . ( Don`t tend to drive backwards that quickly in the rain)

My guess would be that water is getting past a seal ... possibly at the top of the screen ?

WOW, sorry to hear that. With the amount of issue you had in such a short period, I can understand the decision. DCX should be made aware of this (somehow). I wish they could make good on any loses you experienced. Good luck with the X5.
