Tell me about it. I've been looking too for a while. I keep getting told I have too much experience or they can't afford me. You'd think they would pay a service advisor more than $25k/year working 45-50 hours a week. That's what I've been coming across; work longer hours for the same pay.

LOL! I'm not a service advisor! Just pointing out that salary has dwindled and they want you to work longer hours for around the same pay.

You like working outside? Im sure the local I.B.E.W. local 1249 in NY is looking for new people. Its working on power lines. Journeyman Lineman wages here in PA. are 39.51 an hour....NY pay is like $2 more and hour.....just a thought.

How would u get into that if you have no exp. I wouldn't have a problem with that. Office work isn't for me its just that's all I've been doing

You would have to get into their apprenticeship program...pay starts at a percentage of journeymans rate....which prob. be 21 22 anhour range. It takes about 3 yrs to get through the apprenticeship. Im sure they have a web site for it up there.

$20+/hr is nice. I checked IBEW and apparently the IBEW President wants you to vote for Obama. LOL!
