a guy down here in mexico is bragging about a 650 that he has, he says that he can beat the SRT8 GC easily, what do you guys think about that, should I give him a shot, or will he smoke me ?? my GC is Almost new only 1000 miles on it.

The 650 is a heavy car, especially the vert.

Even if its a coupe, you shouldn't have much of an issue.....360hp.

My oldman has a 550i and doesn't feel as fast as the SRT.

I love them...but they're just way too slow and WAY too expensive.

I did fight a bmw 650i coupe on our autobahn last week and had a lot of fun.

The SRT8 was always accelerating faster up to 124 mph.

From 124 up to 150 mph the 650i pull slightly away 20-30 meters.

But the bmw hits the speed limiter at 155mph and I drove past.

The drivers face shows that he was very angry about losing against a jeep suv.

The same day, 60 min later I ran with a SL 550 and made the same experience as before.

At Speeds up to 120/124mph the SL 550 had even no chance, then he gains around 20-30 meters too before hitting the speed limiter at 155mph.

The Mercedes driver was an old man with a beautiful young lady on the passenger seat.

He did not even look a bit to me as I passed him, but the lady did with a smile.


btw. two main german car magazines tested the SL 550 and the other an GC SRT8 this month

0-100 km/h (62.14 mph) = 5.6s
0-140 km/h (86.99 mph) = 10.0
0-160 km/h (99.42 mph) = 13.0
0-200 km/h (124.27 mph) = 20.7


And the results for the SRT8/alles allrad magazine:

0-80 km/h (49.71mph) = 3.6s
0-100 km/h (62.14 mph) = 5.0s
0-140 km/h (86.99 mph) = 9.4
0-160 km/h (99.42 mph) = 12.1

I don't personally have any stories against the Ram SRT-10, but from what I've read it's slow out of the hole due to traction. Also, when I went to the SRT Track Experience last month, they wouldn't even let us drive the Rams because it was slightly damp from rain the night before and the instructors said "traction was a nightmare when it's dry so they are off limits due to the dampness."

well yeah off a stop the GC is faster than the ram to 60mph. they should produce similar # in the 1/4 mile though. i've been wanting to race one bad but can't find any, (donno how the race will go from a roll though)

Crew cab Ram SRTs are woefully slow if not ecm upgraded. The 2 doors are quick...13.5ish in the 1/4th.

I have an '05 645Ci, which is just a tic slower than the 650. The 645 is absolutely no match for the GC SRT8. You will blow that guy into the weeds, unless you race on a road course. The BMW will definately out-corner the Jeep.

Some of these Bimmer guys really get on my nerves. Make sure you're racing stock for stock then spank this guy hard, video tape it and then share it with the rest of the class so we can all have a good hardy raucous laugh!:D :D :D
