Is anyone using the Blinder product along with a V1?
The V1 is not listed on their site as a compatible device, but I think it's just because they dont sell them there.

Does anyone know if the blinder truely is the best jammer?

Thanks everyone.

I'm trying to help my fiance find something to get me for christmas, I have a bad habit of buying everything I want the instant I want it, so it hard for her to shop for me.

I'm thinking she can get me a laser jammer, or a nice shot gun, or something else. Any suggestions?
BTW: I'm paying for it, so so keep it under a grand.
Thanks for the opinions guys.

I have the Blinder on 3 vehicles. There should be no compatibility issue as they are pretty much a stand alone system. I have Bel sti something in the pick-up. V1 in the Edge and the older style Bel in the Jeep.

What the hell, hahaha! You might as well pick it up as soon as you find something you like then, LOL!!!!!

The Escort 9500I and 9500CI have laser "Shifting" technology. I called escort and spoke to a tech rep and that basically means it blocks the Laser signal but you will never get one of them to use the word Block. Since laser blocking is illegal in almost every state you can say you do not have a laser blocker.

As a side note, I am told it operates in a different way than a typical blocker so their terminology has some merit. If you get a signal just slow down and hit mute on the head unit and it will allow the cop to get a reading. That way he will never suspect anything. A family friend is a traffic cop and he says the laser guns are very finicky so they are used to getting "--" on the first shot. He says they rarely use laser because you have to be outside the car or the window down and you have to be extremely still to get a reading. He said the laser guns collect dust from October to April because of the cold and wheather.

here's from an earlier post - i really really like this thing.....well well worth the investment:

Regarding the laser shifting –

Passport makes a unit called the SRX

I apologize for the lo-res phone pix but…..

Here’s a pic of the rear laser transceiver (receiver and transmitter in a single unit). There are also two smaller laser transceivers mounted just behind the front grille. The radar detecting unit is also mounted just behind the front grill:

I know some peoples who are good with fiberglass so I had them fabricate this mounting bracket which simply clips over the smartbeam headlamp system housing. They matched texture and color pretty well:

http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn206/friscohemi/srx_2.jpg

Here’s a front view (yep the sun visor still fits too):

http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn206/friscohemi/srx_1.jpg

When sitting in the front seats, the unit barely peeks below the rear view mirror – enough to see exactly whatchur being painted by but still lopro…

http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn206/friscohemi/srx_5.jpg

This unit features a remote mute button. This button is mounted on the armrest just to the left of the open lever for the armrest. I also had a remote switch installed to cut power to the unit if need be.

The remote mute/volume button is also used to cease laser shifting - when there is a laser alert (if shift is set to on it'll shift whatever laser it detects) simply double click the remote button and it deactivates the shift - just make sure you are below the max posted speed limit or close enough for comfort....

There hasn't been any buzz or rattle with the deep tones of the custom exhaust system.

Definitely well worth the bux. I understand it is illegal to have the laser shifting option turned on in the state of California....

I can testify the laser shifting mechanisms do work. They’ve worked in the beast and in one of my buddy’s car. (pretty much a priceless picture to see the bull look at his gun like wtf....i don't care to find out what would happen if they knew you had one and it shifted their laser though....so please be careful!!) I also have one installed in my car too….Saved my a$$ a number of times.

No reason to rely on it 100% - just really nice being able to sense ur environment…..

BS - I owned am Escort 8500 and the ZR3, previous to ZR4. I NEVER GOT A TICKET. And who ever says that lasers are illegal does nto know fact. Blocking radars is illegal because you go against radio ways which are controlled by the FCC. Lasers are controlled by the USDA or FDA. It is not illegal to "shift" (ESCORT TALK) or BLOCK a laser from a police laser gun. People live in fear of what they think will happen if the police pull you over when they don't get a reading. I have personally passed multiple officers shaking their guns like they were crazy. I am not an expert but they worked for me. I look forward to buying one again.

I have the blinder m45 setup and the V1. They don't work together like some other brands will. But, they pay for themselves, as I've avoided tickets many times because of them.:D

The 9500CI is like the SRX but brand new and very trick. Its an installed unit that can be as covert as you want it. I have mine installed in the sunglass flip down and warning LED in the instrument cluster and the front and rear sensors are nearly invisible on my black jeep.

I love the GPS functions that block all the day to day falses and store all the red light camera corners.

Here are some pics of the 9500CI install.

I chose to put it here so I could have I could stash it away when I did not want it visible like if I did get pulled over for some reason. Its easier to talk your way out of a ticket if he does not see a radar detector.

Here is the alert LED, it looks like it could be for an alarm. When its off it can barely be seen, especially by a cop standing outside the window.

I dont usually keep the truck that dirty, but it rained on the way home from the drag strip.
