Strut Brace, I know, sway bar, never messed with it. Hey Wade, you need to fix your sig, you need to put [/COLOR] after Cherokee-Red

No I'm messing with your OCD-LOL well whatever it is that helps with weight transfer at the track I'm pulling out all the stops for friday night we get a cool front tonight and should see low 50's for racing.

Are you removing or just unhooking the front sway?

I haven't touched the Jeep, but if all you're wanting is to let the front lift easier you maybe able to just unhook it(you may have to tie the ends to something so it doesn't flop around). Just a thought.

From here looks like you just need some wrenches, nothing special.

REMOVAL of stabilizer Bar Front

1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the front splash shield.
3. Remove the stabilizer bar link upper nut (1) & bolt (2).

4. Remove the two stabilizer bushing clamp (2) bolts.
5. Remove the stabilizer bar (1).

Wade, Don't forget its pretty heavy so loosen and don't pull bolts all the way out where bushing mounts are until you're done on the links, top bolt, then bottom. You'll need some of the larger socket heads for the job, I forget which size. 18 maybe. and don't forget to retorque the links to correct specs when reinstalling. Looking to save weight for a day at the races?

weight and better weight transfer this track is notorious for putting too much water out so hopefully the better weight transfer will help with traction

Good luck with your runs. Nice to see that gauge there. Looks like it belongs there. I just put on your silver face plate on mine and am getting ready to install. Thinking of the spot to the right, just in front of the temp gauge. Have a Neon dash pod, which, with some dremel work, will do nicely just in front of the temp gauge. Now if I only had a reason for a boost gauge. I could put another one in front of the fuel gauge. They leave just enough space on top to see the readout.

With your AEM Wide band, did you connect the blue wire out of the power source wire set to a serial port plug for monitoring purposes? Directions talk about buying and cutting the blue wire into a serial female plug for use with monitoring devices.

I can't wait Wade! Bring some tools with you so we can make some tweaks. I see another PB for you Friday... If the track is there for us? I'll take some video.

Wade, Im curious to see your results.

IMO- you arent going to see the results you are expecting, our suspensions are stiff and its not like the a$$ end is going to squat. Your problem is the water and nothing else, I have cut multiple 1.6 60ft times with N20 off the line. The AWD will overcome lack of weight transfer, your problem isnt going to be cured unless you can avoid that waterbox.

...here I am !

I did it, and liked it.

It is like Robpp said, relatively easy.

At one time, I had mine disconnected and zip tied in an up position, but just take it off.

It will throw the weight back harder, and weighs a metric ton....LOL.

Don't forget to wedge something in the right rear spring for firm-er-ness.
I have an actual spring rubber in there, but prior, I had some old rubber hose, compressed, and wedged and zip tied/duct taped in there.

Good Luck Wade !!!!!!! no water man !

This guy knows what he's talking about. I have my suspension setup as soft as I can get it for this track... Bring some tools with you Wade or Daniel, we are going to disconnect more than just the sway bar.... I'll do all the work if you just try it....
It sucks there is no avoiding the water box at that track:mad:

Some rain-x for the tires and... Whatever tools are needed to take the swaybar off and whatever size socket/wrench will fit the shock bolts.... I'll bring the rest of the stuff needed with me.
