: Replacement Key/fob
brianm 10-16-2008, 04:07 PM hi guys , my run of bad luck just keeps going :
ive lost my bunch of keys, including house , SRT, my work van . and shop keys, do any of you guys have an idea of cost to get a new key /fob ?? .. its 9pm here so i cant call anyone to ask ..
its just one kick in the balls after another just now

Unless someone found his key and tries to sell it on ebay, any key fob he finds on ebay will do him no good....they are the keys for his Jeep.

BlackJeepSRT 10-16-2008, 05:03 PM Depends on the key. For the 2008 it's all electronic so it needs to be a fresh key to program. Programming of course is 1 hour labor for a few minutes of work, but the key is very expensive, at least $200. The 2007 is a split key, so I'm not sure how those work.

DevssrT 10-16-2008, 08:49 PM Wow dude thats awesome....but, personally, I would still take both keys to the dealer and have them reflashed/whatever...you never know (god forbid) if the guy that "found your keys" made copys and copied the radio wave to get into your jeep and whatever other cars you own buddy...just food for thought...
