Hey guys, i'm new from 300cforums, chargerforums, lxforums, etc. and i'm selling my 300C for a SRT8GC. REALLY wanting a black one, and i'm ready to buy as soon as I sell my car!

is there anything i should know about these cars before I buy?

well see i actually signed up about a week ago and it took a week to get my confirmation e-mail so i just now started posting! if only all these srt8s weren't so far from arkansas :(

Not sure which black your looking to buy. If you buy an '09 or late '08 it will be the new Brilliant Black Crystal Pearlcoat, which is fancy way of saying it has flake in it unlike the previous black, which is a jet black.

Not sure where your located but if you are looking to buy new you should DEFINITELY check out Champion Jeep in Barrington, IL.

What year are you looking for? I'd go with at least an '08, and be sure it has projectors and the Mygig. The newer '09's have the kicker sub and red calipes.

anything you should know?

maybe keep an eye out on your front tires b/c i see alot of guys have significant wear problems on the insides of them... mine as well... found it when i was changing the oil.. .. you will never know if you dont check b/c you cant see it from the outside ofcourse.... mine started to actually tear

maybe keep an eye out on your front diffs b/c some have a tendency to leak in the first 10-15k miles.... mine did and have been fixed by dealer

If your front driver and or passenger windows all of a sudden do not work when you use the auto up and down switch feature do not panic... there is a way to reset them to work...

if you hear any strange noises under the drivetrain again.. do not panic..!! mine tends to howl or hum when i accelerate...most others as well.... has been that way since i had her... sound is normal

and when you get a few bucks go and get yourself a cai... 180 therm... catch can... diablo pred and a cmr tune by andy and see 12's all day long :) to me these are the most simple and cheapest mods for a DD you can do... you get some serious performance gains for about a grand (this is all ofcourse MO and what i learned from the guys here on this sick azz forum)

dude, you SOOOO should've bought mine. 20k and it could've been yours :/ if you know anyone else thats looking, PLEASE let them know as i'm dying to get into an srt8 gc!!!
