Is it possible to upgrade it to a larger one. I was trying to run a small bicycle pump off mine and it kept failing. I have a 12v cigaweed inverter that runs it just fine.
so my question is, where is the inverter on the jeep and do you guys think its worth the hassle in upgrading to a larger one. I do, but just don't know how hard it will be.

When I go out to the boat yard to work on boat in the winter I use one of these.

It has enough power to run all of my tools, but you have to hook it up to the battery with alligator clips. The kind of inverter that plugs into the cig lighter can not provide enough juice thru the vehicles elec system. I would suspect that is the same issue with the onboard inverter in our rigs. Meaning that no matter what inverter you try to hard mount in the vehicle, you would need to run new heavy guage wire directly to the battery.
Just my opinion based on past experience.
