Hey, I'm looking to get some mild curb rash fixed on two of my rims and maybe even want to powdercoat the black after I get them all fixed and lookin new.

I know there are lots of mail order places but I dont want to have to dismount them and ship them out I'm looking for a place I can just bring my car into a shop and have them done.

Im in central NJ so not somewhere far....

Also my friend with an EVO mentioned that there are places that will come out to your house and do this for you. Anyone know of anything like that. I wanna get them fixed soon cause I hate having the curb marks.

Thanks for all input.

My rims were curbed up really bad from the previous owner. I talked to the powder coater I wanted to use and he said he could take care of it. So took them in a few weeks ago and you can't even tell they were ever curbed. He sanded and buffed everything perfectly smooth. So fixed the curing and powdercoated for $70 a wheel. Talk to your powder coater because he might be able to take care of you. They have to sand blast them anyway so smoothing out a little curb rash shouldn't be a problem.

I bought a Demel and a grinding and polishing kit for less than $100. Took about an hour to smooth out and polish. Great results!

Bwoody period. You are only about 2 hrs from them. Worth the trip and your time.

If they can do this work that would be worth it.

I was gonna go with these guys when I had the chance. I emailed them and they said they were located in Edison in Raritan Center.

I use USA wheels in Fairfield, it's located in the Pia Costa complex right off Bloomfield Ave, they do a great job and have a quick turn around, but are pricey for sure. They stand by their work as well, I have had to go back twice to have the clearcoat re-applied (a learning process for them on this wheel) and they have done all work after the first service 100% free of charge to make things right.

Thats good to know. This thread took a while to develop but thanks for all the information. After the holidays when I have some money around I'll be sure to hit up one of these places.
