I ordered my jeep in early fall, from my local dealer here in Ottawa,Ontario, Canada. The dealer told me last week that my jeep has been stuck in D status for the past 2 months any ideas why:mad:

My view on this is that your dealer probably does not have much pull. There is a certain number of these vehicles available to the Canadian market and as I found out dealers are only allotted with regards to their ranking within Canada for sales or performance of some sort. I called 25 dealers in southern Ontario before I found one that had an allocation. Confirm with your dealer that he has allocation. Sometimes they will tell you they can get it but they actually can't. Don't bother trying to call Chrysler Head office because they won't tell you anything either. Also another way the dealer can get allocation is if they are willing to by XX amount of some vehicle that is not selling very well and make a deal with their regional rep to get 1 X GCSRT8.

bro i feel for you im from Montreal quebec and when i ordered my srt8 gc i was told six to eight weeks when that time period came to an end the build process was very slow then after two weeks the truck was built and awaiting transport this went on for two weeks until i pulled my last card out i called Chrysler again but this time wanted to make a formal complaint with my regional manager and that i was not going buy the GC srt8 and was going to sue for the amount i had to spend on rental blah blah blah . Formal complaint seemed to be the magic words cuz when i mentioned this the customer rep said that they would talk to the reg manager after a day or two the customer rep called back and told me the reg. manager was going to follow my order personally till i get it not too long after that the truck was on a train over here :D

also i heard 5 star dealers are more prone to get an srt8gc

I ordered mine a couple of months ago from Ontario Chrysler in Toronto. They had allocation because they sell a lot of vehicles. They told me best guess would be around Christmas. Picked it up tonight! Early!

Yo guys,

Up in Montreal here (still no snow!!!), ordered mine in June and recevied it end of Sept, just a week or so early. Ordered from a newly rated 5-star dealer (pix IX), so the customer service was great. I had an inside contact as well, so this obviously helped. Still lovin it. Just ordered some 18's with Blizzak LM-25s. Should arrive mid January.

I'm looking to buy one in the spring, also in Ottawa. Just out of curiosity, which dealer did you order from? (You can PM me if you don't want to post it publicly).

I know for a fact that the dealer I bought from in Toronto - Ontario Chrysler had 2 on the lot as of 2 days ago that just arrived and were not spoken for. They are a large volume dealer and get allocation, but also bought some slow moving vehicles to get more GC SRTs. They have sold at least 3 2007's that I know of already, not including these. Anyone interested can call Dave Pozzobon - he is the GM and I got mine directly from him.

Scarborotown and NorthYork Chrysler have 2 each in Toronto. Go on the Jeep.ca website and do a search.

Just conducted an inventory search and there are a lot in Ontario however everyone comes fully loaded and I do not want the rear entertainment system or the Navigation. I've read on this site that the drop down screen rattles and obstructs the rear view mirror when down and I don't need Navigation in Halifax not to mention that the maps are not available yet for Nova Scotia.
Thanks for the info and if anything else pops up please let me know!!!!!

Yes there are a bunch in Ottawa... in showrooms. Seems every dealer is trying to get one to put in the showroom. :(
