Okay, first thing is that those guys were car testers from Roadfly.com if none of you bothered to read the title of the vid, not the owners of the car. In other words, they were severely uneducated tards doing an amateur editorial.
Second, not all Ford owners are tards. I own a Mustang and my SRT-8. Is there a problem with that?

Oh yeah! Well, Chevys are pieces of crap cars. I'd take ANY SRT8 vehicle over those things any day.

As the owner of a 97 SS, your an authority on POS...

The GT500 is a sweet ride.

They need to take some acting lessons or just simply work on their oral communication skills.

I watched it again without any commentary. That wasn't so bad.

That is a very nice ride!

Did I say that my 97 SS was NOT a peice of crap? No. It has plenty of squeaks and rattles. My Z06, however, has outstanding build quality as does my SRT8.

Guess what, it's my opinion. Don't like it? Too bad! :)

Mustangs in general are terrible cars, no denying it. The fact that it's a Ford, even worse!

Z06? Yup-Good stuff. SRT8? Build and quality should not even be in the same sentence here...Typical American car....

Comparing ANY jeep (yes, even the SRT) to a Shelby is apples to oranges. Look, our Jeeps rock-- they are fast and beat about anything off the line, but the Shelby is a whole different ball game. I love those things too.

You know there are people out there who fall in love with their one vehicle and think all others are ****. They have no appreciation for speed in general.

That stang is awesome. Great video, bad editorials. In addition to calling our ride Dodge, he had trouble with the tire size. Clearly not up on the car but seemed like a decent driver. I enjoyed watching.

what times do those run 0-60? 1/4 mile? i saw one at the LA auto show and i really like them!

car and driver tested the gt500 to a 1/4 of 12.9 and 0-60 in 4.6 seconds. hardly a different ball game at all eh?

on the street going from a dig we would almost certainly be ahead at the end of a quarter mile.

If the person driving the GT500 can drive, we would be even to 60mph but it would be ahead of us at the 1/4 mile (stock vs. stock).

A smaller pulley, better intake & exhaust, some drag radials and we'd never catch one of those. :(

Sad to say but this is true, add a minor tune also and the only thing you will see is his back lights after about 600'

Just because stock vs stock we MAY be even speed wise, our Jeep and those cars are in completely different classes. One is a high middle-end sports car, and one is a family hauler. Yes, their both fast-- what is this a pissin match?)-- but they arent' the same. So yes-- a very different ball game, eh.

With those light mods, you would always see tail lights...

My Camaro was the worst POS I ever owned, a terrible car, no denying it. My two Mustangs were great cars, but your are entitled to your bias opinion. :D

I'd venture to guess not many people are going to be capable of reproducing the times that the professional drivers at C&D achieved (at a track) on the street.

I would have little fear of losing if i pulled up at a light next to a stock gt500.

high middle end sports car? please

the shelby is a 4000lb solid rear axle supercharged pony car.

our srts can put down similar numbers stock for stock even in the handling department, the minor discrepencies are more than made up for (for me) because our rides can carry 5 people and have awd.

i love the way the shelbys look and the forced induction aspect is great for modding but if youre in the market for a sports car you'd be an absolute fool to choose the shelby over the z51 c6.

put the gt500 on a 500lb diet and give it irs and then it would be a sports car. what ford has now is a pretty quick mustang.

and no this isnt a pissing match, i appreciate excellent vehicles no matter what badge they wear. ford screwed the pooch with the gt500.

It's early, and my eyes must not be working.... can you show me where I said that this high middle-end sports car was better or worse than a corvette, or any other high middle-end sports car?

Funny thing is they were designed and had a fully operational IRS and 6 months before release they had to change it due to the cost... good thinking ford.

I saw the video and was absolutely appalled. I don't even own a SRT8, but a '04WJ and '05WK... Been a loyal DCX Jeep customer for the last 10+ years!

That dude is some inbred redneck!

The best revenge here is to get some very objectional friends in your Jeep SRT8, hit the road course and produce a documentary. All the while, make funny remarks about the other cars on the track.

Hey, help me out here guys, I'm not good with this revenge stuff.

"look! It's a BMW! That stands for Big Mess of Work!" "Look! It's a Ford! No wait, I passed him already, so that's gotta be an Ord!"

I think getting to the road course and just having fun is what it's all about!!
