Looks like the 08's will have heated rear seats and the HID option as well as a new interior color - Dark Slate Gray.

This includes all the other upgrades we already heard about including the MyGig touch screen Nav, tilt/telescoping steering wheel and leather wrapped shifter.

I'll be buying a set of those HID headlights to swap out, and maybe see how the rear heated seat option functions. Would be nice to swap that out as well.

What is the earliest point you can order and expect delivery of an '08 model? I am in the market right now and if it is only 3-4 months away I might wait since I have a perfectly fine truck I can drive for a few more months.

I think they just started building the 07 models a couple of months ago, so it may be a while before you can order a 08. Anyone else?

08 Models will most likely start being built in July/August IMO.

If I still hadn't had one (bought an 06 in July) I would probably wait for the 08. The MyGig seems like a VERY nice feature

Personally I am not too excited about the MyGig. There already is an aftermarket HU that has better features than MyGig (Pioneer AVIC Z-1) I think that it would be better to just get the stock stereo and buy an aftermarket HU than spend the money on MyGig.

The HID's and rear heated seats are awesome though! I may not be getting an 08' though in hopes that the 09' has a HP boost.

Don't you think this is an excuse to add a couple of K to the price. These updates are nothing to write home about!

Yes, I agree....not sure I am all that excited about the myGig as real audiophiles will probably swap out to an aftgermarket anyway, but the slate gray interior is a very nice option.

If it is just the seats I could probably swap them out later, but if its the dash, carpets, etc. it would be a much bigger deal.

Heated seats in the rear are huge though! Everyone I know loves heated seats and not that many cars (below $60k) have them in the rear yet. I live in the Northeast so something like that you can actually use 6+ months out of the year.

The only option I'm a little bummed about would be the interior color option. I wish I would've had the deep slate option on my '07. I think it would look great with my black SRT. I've also heard rummors of HP gains in '09 or later, possibly a 6.6L Hemi. I've also heard of a dramatic "retro" body style change for '09 similar to the old XJ for the new GC. That would cancel out the HP gain for me if they did that. FWIW I got my info from my dealers District Sales Manager. I really hope it's not true, don't get me wrong I like the old XJ's I just don't want to see that body for the GC. The ZJ IMO would be a better retro choice.

I couldn't agree more however this guy is not a salesman, he's a district dealer rep and part of DC proper. Of course this doesn't guarantee he knows what the hell he's talking about but he seemed pretty well informed and did mention that this was just an idea on the table for now. I hope it stays just that, an idea.

Hmm...that is definitely a bummer. I guess the cut backs in the R&D department at Diamler Chrysler are starting to be felt in the options packages...

I hardly ever use my seat heaters ... seat coolers/ventilaters would see much more use!
