Then closed down. Not one car was ever run thru it. Sold the properties at auction. Millions of dollars went to the company who got the govt contract. I feel no need to have straight pipes, I have cats on my Jeep, Sounds badazz and it's legal. I've heard "FDNY's" Jeep with no cats, it's a "little" louder. The exhaust smells more without them too

Where is the logic in that? You will still fail and then they will probably impound your vehicle for trying to fool them. Just run cat's, My Mach 1 Mustang actually dyno'd better with the Bassani Metallic Substrate cats then it did without them. Modern engines like a little bit of back pressure- it helps prevent reversion at the exhaust ports.

I would just get a Y-pipe with cats and not have to worry about the emissions part, the visual part would still be an issue. Since Kook's LTs are not CARB legal, you would still get hit with that problem.

Its probably just Obama getting his campaign ready for California. Besides cops drool over GCSRT8, just yesterday I got pulled over supposedly for my tint. My a**, I was speeding, tint was dark, no plates. The cop told me nice car, and she would only give me a fix it ticket for tint and that my exhaust was loud. I still love Cali.
