Surface tension wanted me to post pics of our adventure this past weekend enroute to the LA Auto Show... This was in Mesquite, Nevada with a bad t-stat. It had to get towed to Vegas, fun stuff...

Get the Stant 195. I think a lot of the guys have gone with it and I have not heard of any problems.

Did the t-stat go at 155 or did it happen right after? Sorry to hear about this.

I hope that's all it is.

I assume you had none of the telltale signs of a busted head gasket, water pump

either, its all DCX

I am thinking right after. Once we started slowing down we then started seeing a fine mist out of the back but the temp. guage was still low so we pulled in to the next gas station and the picture tells the rest of the story. I called the Jeep 1-800 towing service, they picked us up in an hour and took us to Vegas. In Vegas they put in the new T-Stat and all is well. We even drove from LA to Sonoma then back to SLC. But I am forsure looking into a better after market T-Stat.

Someone over on chargerforums.com had a thermostat go south and ruined the motor on his SRT. Hope this isn't becoming common occurance.
