Yes, I put roof racks on it. Let the flaming begin.

Sorry, but I am a horsepower junkee who also needs an SUV for the winter.

This could solve my issue getting the rugrats to the slopes without impaling passengers on a hard stop ... where did you pick up the racks ?

I cannot blame you for wanting more space. Just take em off when you are not using them. Aside from even poorer gas mileage they look out of place.

Hey don't worry about how they look or what people think. You obviously are an active person and the racks are a practical solution that fits your lifestyle. And you have good taste in vehicles. I especially like the porsche collection. And the GC SRT-8 too of course.

I have them also. It looks great. Just remember that only us roof rack owners are the only ones qualified to test canoes at 150 mph. :D

I like it!

See, I'd use it to put one of those Sprint Car wings on top =P

Looks great! I have them on mine too, but I use them for carrying kayaks during the summer. I wish someone made caps to cover the screw covers so I could take the rails off during the winter. I like the look better without them.

Just because they gave us more sport than utility when designing the SRT8 doesn't mean we need to suffer. I saw a guy in Boulder who put snowtires and a roof rack on his 996 Turbo. You have nothing to be ashamed of, nor does he.

I'd be more worried about the skies going out the rear window on a hard launch!

The roof rails are factory GC and the cross bars are Thule.

How do I order a set for myself? Can I just order GC roofracks from Jeep?

Do they mount in the existing holes? Do the existing rubber rails need to come off first?

Yes, order from Jeep, or another MOPAR dealer, and they are a direct swap.

Left Rear End Cap - #55394345AB
Right Rear Rail - #55157386AA*
Left Rear Rail #55157387AA*

*These two rails are chrome and not black - you have your choice so make sure you ask for the version you want.

Do you still have the SRT8 black roof bars? I would like to buy them.
